GTV visa application:
State 2: application payment done – 15th Aug 2020
Eligbible for IDV email confirmation – 3rd Sept 2020
Invitation to use IDV – 5th Sept 2020
Booked appointment (Did not use IDV): on 5th Sept 2020 (£62.99 (per person) @Lansdowne Road +£1.99 SMS)
Appointment UKVCAS: 10th Sept 2020
Approval mail(from Home Office Atlas): 15th Sept 2020
Delivery of BRP - waiting.

Thank you all for all the valuable insights
Congrats buntyc , did you get the Fedex tracking code for BRP?
Hi, I haven't got Fedex mail yet. My partner applied separately for GTV and she got it after 2 days. I am also expecting the tracking details in a day or two.

The BRP was slipped in my letter box instead of taking signature etc... well that was a surprise.
I also have not received fedex tracking mail, after decision on 10th September following in-person appointment on the 9th. However maybe it will just be delivered thru the letter-box.

Ok so my BRP was posted thru the letter box with normal UK mail (16 September), i never got any tracking email. Strange thing is that my photo is from my Tier 2 BRP not the IDV or even in person appointment. Now the next step is to apply for ILR next month hopefully priority is back then.

No signatures needed. My TNT/Fedex delivery person also just casually flipped it onto my letterbox and left in a jiffy. No signatures, nothing :)

Hi all,

I have just applied for GTV Stage 2, then I received an email from UKVCAS saying the following:

"Please continue with your registration and we will contact you and update the website when appointments are available for you to book. Until then, whilst the re-opened sites will appear on the website, you will not be able to find or book an appointment."

Am I supposed to receive an email updating me on the availability of appointments? Shall I do something?

Yes you will get email regarding the appointment availability. You can also check the ukvcas website for appointments available. You can also DM ukvcas on Twitter.

Do you have an idea about how many days I would get that email? Shall I send a message to UKVCAS in Twitter?

I submitted my biometrics via IDV app only on 30th August. I am still waiting...Should I go for in-person appointment? Any advice please?
Based on the fact that almost everyone here who did IDV and then did in-person and then got a decision a few days later. The pattern is clear so that should help you decide :-)
I gave up waiting and did in person biometrics yesterday... hopefully a decision will come out soon...
I did the same! Tired of waiting and have a job offer that is in danger! Let's see if it speed up the decision!
I got my decision today! Thank god...
Stage 2 submission date: 24/4/20
IDV invite and enrolment: 28/8/20
In person biometrics: 15/9/20
Decision: 17/9/20
BRP: pending...

I'm pretty sure that it was only cause I went in person that I got a decision.

Just got my decision email today! my application has been successful.

Could BRP be delivered only thru the letter-box instead of taking signature? Cause I don't live anymore in my old address...

Thank you so much for the support! Good luck everyone

Hi All,
Hope you are well. I received the stage 2 approval email after 16 working days, from the date of submitting it through IDV app.

I received my Global Talent BRP card yesterday.
However, I couldn't find the NI number, which is supposed to be printed on the rear.

Is the NI number same as my previous BRP(Tier2 ICT)
Could you guys check yours and let me know.
Thanks,
Suriya

Your national insurance number has nothing to do with your visa and it is completely independent of your immigration status. It will always be the same; it's your personal number.

I had a query on the stage 2 VISA application, I have to put a date when I would be arriving in UK. Given the current pandemic situation, I am not 100% sure if I could move very quickly. Do you think I can put a later date on that stage 2 application? For example, if I submit stage 2 application on Jan 1st, can I put my UK arrival date as July 1st? Is there any upper limit on that?

This topic is only for stage 2 timelines and not for general questions about an application still to be made. You should post all your application questions in you existing topic you have.

You cannot request a visa start date more than 3 months in the future.

My biometric appointment at the Victoria centre was cancelled on Oct 14 because some COVID case got detected at the centre. The call centre says "someone will get in touch for a fresh appointment". There is no visibility of the future. Is there anyone else who is affected by this? Any idea of Stage 2 timelines in such circumstances?
