Alright. We both submitted biometrics via the app on the same day (28 Aug 2020).

Since your application was submitted way before mine, I think you should get your decision imminently.

Although it probably doesn't make a difference on the timelines, what was your endorsing body?

Alright, so the three week stage 1 approval is not of much use currently. Are you with a university?

I am endorsed by the Royal Academy of Engineering. I missed the UKRI route by a whisker since my post-doc contract had exactly 1 year,10 months remaining on the date of Stage 1 submission.

Got a decision from UKVI just a few minutes back (Sep 7, 2020 14:24 BST).

My application for Global Talent visa has been successful. BRP is on the way and should be delivered within 7 working days.

My timeline:
Online application submitted (& IHS fee paid): July 01, 2020
Biometrics done through IDV app: August 28, 2020
Duplicate biometrics submitted in-person appointment at Croydon due to me messing up IDV photo: August 29, 2020.

I don't know if it was the physical biometrics appointment that relatively sped up things (or it can be taken as a sign that IDV applicants are getting decisions).

Hi, I applied on 8 May 2020 and Royal soc endorsement 11 May. Invite to use the IDV App on 26 August 2020.
Switching from Tier 2 ( Global Talent fast track (8 weeks Total in normal time)). I am still waiting for decision.
The app says application submitted, however if i go back to ukvi application it still says book an appointment and on the ukvcas website there is still the option to book an appointment.

Anyone else do the IDV app and still see option for appointment in UKVCAS ? Not sure if i should just fork out the 135 GBP and do an appointment since I am not sure why it is taking this long.

I had submitted via IDV app on August 28, 2020.

Since I messed up my photo background, I went online and booked an appointment at Croydon for the next day where they took my photo and fingerprints again.

So, I did dual submission of biometrics. You can read my long writeup at the ILR Covid19 biometrics thread by scrolling a few pages back. That thread is highly useful and not just for ILR applications.

Hard to recommend anything at this stage.
My endorsement was April 16, 2020.

Thanks, so let me give it till the end of the week then. I had clicked the submit to ukvi in June already so i assumed decision would have been made and just the photo was needed from what they explained.

That's the same for me. I had uploaded all docs including Royal Academy of Engineering endorsement letter a really long time ago.

Repeated with physical submission on Aug 29.

I also submitted by Documents with IDV app on 28th August. Paid for IHS and all back in18 July. I am swtiching from Tier 2 to Tier 1

Same as me, I paid IHS in May already, my Tier 2 is still valid for another 2 years but with GT time for ILR is 3 years which will be 15 October for me. So I just need the GT for a few days basically then I can apply for ILR next month. So I think maybe there is an issue with App submission or they are processing people who paid for in-person appointments as everyone seems to get a decision in a few days.

So far based on the data we have, the only difference is that you had a physical appointment so we have go with that been the key criteria. @kidemon_0801 @Scientist 123 is the option to book an appointment still there if you go the your UKVCAS account ? @krishnakumarg after your appointment did you check your UKVI application to see if it still said you need to book an appointment ?

Sorry, I am not clear what you meant by "check in UKVI application that I am required to do an appointment"?
