Is there any working hours per week limit in GTV?
Can I work for multiple employers fulltime at the same time?
What if I am working fultime with one and also doing freelancing? In this case, do I need to register at HMRC?
there are no restriction on work (except for sportpersons), see the caseworker guidance:
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... 4.0ext.pdf

also, from the immigration rules:
GT 7.3. The grant will be subject to all the following conditions:
(a) no access to public funds; and
(b) work (including self-employment and voluntary work) permitted except for employment as a professional sportsperson (including as a sports coach); and
(c) study is permitted, subject to the ATAS condition in Appendix ATAS; and
(d) if Part 10 applies the applicant will be required to register with the police.
Hello,

Adding to Manci, there is no restriction on how many hours you can work.

1. You can work for multiple company subjects to the Maximum weekly working hours. Please check gov.uk website.
2. Subject to the Maximum weekly working hours.
3. You can do freelance work and yes you must register with HMRC for a self-assessment if you meet the HMRC requirements for that. Please check gov.uk website.

Good luck,
Fred

Hi Manci, Fred and the rest of the Folks,

I have a few follow up questions, if you can reply back to me please.
  • My ILR period will be somewhere in December/2021. Do I have to apply for ILR 28 days before completing 3 years continuous residence in December 2021 or I can apply for ILR at a later date?
  • My wife was on Tier 4 students visa, then she spent two years on PBS/GTV dependent visa. If she will get the GTV visa, these years (on both visas) will be added or not for her qualify for ILR within 03 years?
  • Is there any requirement to show certain amount (bank statement) for GTV main applicant at the time of ILR other than the proof of earning in the same profession?
  • Is there any requirements to show certain amount for GTV Dependents (Spouse/Children) at the time of ILR application?
A prompt reply would be awesome.

Thanks. :)

Answer: Yes , the date starts from visa issue date of Tier2.

Thank you gtv007,

I believe I was unable to put my questions forward in a more clearer manner. Let me rephrase them to make it more clear and appreciate if you (manci/fred or anyone who has similar GTV experience) can shed some light please.

My current GTV visa is valid till 3/2025. However, I will be eligible to apply for ILR after December this year. Therefore, should I MUST apply for ILR as soon as I am eligible, or I can apply at a later time next year for ILR (Because my GTV visa will be valid)?

The other question was, the period spent in Tier 4 student 'and' Tier 2 dependent visa add up in the ILR eligibility for GTV main applicant or not?

Last but not the least,

Is there any maintenance fees to be shown for GTV dependent children (if not for spouse) at the time of their ILR?

Thanks again :)

1. You can apply for ilr at any time once you meet the requirements and must apply before your visa expires.

2. Tier 4 student cannot be added
She needs 5 years on PBS dependent visa to qualify for ILR. Student visa can only be used for ilr based on 10 years long residence.

3. There is NO maintenance funds requirement at all for ilr.

Hi gtv007, CR001, manci and the rest of the experts,
Hope you all are doing well.

I have a follow-up question, please.

My case summary right now is:
  • I am on a GTV visa and will be eligible for ILR in Feb/2022.
  • My Wife and Children are on a T2 Dependent visa and need an extension for another 03 years to be able to apply for ILR. (5 years route)
I have the following questions please:
  • Are they able to extend their current Tier 2 Dependent Visa or they should apply for a switch from T2 Dependent to GTV?
  • Could you please provide the correct Home Office link to apply?
  • Should I apply for ILR BEFORE they apply for their extension/switch? Or I should wait for them to switch and then apply for my ILR? I believe if I will apply for ILR before the switch then this will reset my dependents clock to ZERO? Kindly confirm?
I really appreciate a prompt reply, please?

Bundle of thanks :)

It is the same visa, PBS Dependent.
Could you please provide the correct Home Office link to apply?

It makes no difference. If you apply for their extension BEFORE you get ILR, their visa will be valid till the same expiry date as your GTV visa. If you apply to extend their visas AFTER you apply/get ILR, it will be a 3 year extension. Their clock does NOT reset if they extend as a PBS Dependent. It only resets if they switch to FLR(M) spouse visa, which is a completely different visa category and rules.

Hi CR001

Thank you so much for your reply.

Just to confirm if I have understood it correctly,

My dependents are on PBS Dependent visa at the moment and I am on GTV. So, the link provided in your post is going to extend their current PBS dependent visa or is it going to switch from PBS dependent to GTV dependent?

Appreciate of you could clarify it further.

Thanks again :D
