Called Gerry's mobile number 8865 this morning and the guy told me its still in process as they have not received my passport.

I'll keep you updated on progress.

Regards,
JD
Dear JB Bro I have shared you my experience the foolish guys on 8865 and 0900 10411 will say that the staus of ur passport is not confirmed. as they not sitting at the place u have submitted ur application, ur case will be back in the VAC and they will be saying status not comming on the screen/ not confirmed

You have two options to choose from

1) Either Go the the Visa application centre where you have submitted the documents

2) Call the Mirpur VAC 058610-38005 (VAC of any other city have no number , MIirpur VAC is not under PTCL, its under SCO Special Communication Organization and thats why we can call them) tell them passport and Gerrys receipt they will tell u that ur passport arrived in the VAC on ----- date

Best of Luck JD bro.

Place to stay in UK

Post by immaad » Mon Nov 26, 2007 8:19 pm

Hello,
I will be applying for HSMP EC in dec, I am giving an address of a friend in UK to stay who has just completed his MS there and now looking for jobs. Is that references fine? And do I need a letter from him too? or just his address in the form is enough.

thanks

I called at 051-2012000 and asked them to connect to visa section. I came to know that my visa has been stamped and sent to Gerry's. I've collected my passport and documents from Gerry's office.

I submitted my docs last monday 19/11 and date of my visa is 22/11.

JD

Salam,

Heartiest Congratulations JD.... :) Best of luck for your future success..

Its really nice to see good progress....

On which date they called your office, i think 21 NOV; I am amazed to see 22 NOV as visa stamped date... :)

BTW: When did Gerry's receive documents from BHC, Islamabad, because its almost a week since visa is stamped...??

Hi,

Thanks.

Stamped date is 22/11. They called 22/11 morning. This was 2nd call to my office first was on 20/11 Tuesday.

I think one shouldn't rely on Gerry's. Their system is not very good. Call directly to visa section. They simply update you on status.

JD

query

Post by Whatever » Wed Nov 28, 2007 6:51 pm

Salam to All. I am planning to apply for EC from Karachi & was wondering if anyone has information about the following (especially those who have got the EC):

1) what are valid/sellable reasons for requesting to post-date the HSMP visa?

2) where can one get a CA certificate in Pakistan for an evaluation of fixed assets like property, jewelery etc.

thanks,

Hello whatever,

You can request for a post-dated HSMP Visa. The date has to be within 3 months of Visa application. Actually you don't need to justify this with any reason. In the additional information colum, just mention that you wish to travel only by such and such date and you need the visa accordingly.

For the CA certificate, see this link.
http://ec-hsmp.blogspot.com/2007/11/proof-of-asset.html
CA certificate format,
Why you need this,
Where to contact...
everything is explained here.

Cheers
Paul

Hi,

Yes you can show your car as your asset and explain them that you'll sell that before leaving to UK.

I'm not sure about documents to submit.

Hello all,

I'll be applying for EC as soon as I get my TB screening report. Test is on 13th December. Any idea when do they give the report?

Anyways, here are the documents I am applying with:

1: All documents sent with HSMP application
2: HSMP Approval letter
3: TB Test report
4: Bank statement (4-5 lacs)
5: An attested invitation letter from my brother who lives in uk saying that I will live with him
6: My brother's visa copy, passport copy, work permit copy and accomodation proof
7: My professional certificates (cissp, security+, ccna etc)
8: some printouts of job searches/emails exchange with recruiters

Anything else you people think I should definately submit?

Plus I am submitting salary slips from three different employers for the past year. I fear the verification failure from the oldest one of the lot (from nov-march) because their management is changed and CEO isnt always available. Few work colleagues are still there and as I am applying through a consultant, he suggested that I should try visit that office daily (after submitting application) to ensure verification is done correctly and promptly.

I was also told that BHC doesnt always contact all employers in case there are more than one. I am hoping thats the case with me.

Hello Saby,
In which city are you in and is there any specific reason to apply through a consultant?

Hi saby,

1st thing, they give YB test result same day.

2nd if you have doubt re employer verification then simply write it in cover letter and tell BHC in simple words that the company is no more available but they can contact the owner and your colleagues.

JD

Thanks jd,

company is still available but most of the staff is changed and specially the department head I was working under. Even the financial analyst guy is leaving in two weeks. The one I worked with for the salary slips etc..... I am not sure if BHC is gonna see it as a positive or negative thing.
