Whew...well, after a little over a month of compiling all my documents and making sure everything looks good, my application left my solicitor's office in London (bound for the HO of course!) yesterday.

I will let everyone know how it goes! I hope to see the application fee charge on my credit card in the next few days. This board has been an enormous help, thanks to everyone! Just as an FYI, I've submitted the following:

Qualification section (I hold an MBA) 35 points:
1) my original diploma
2) official transcript from the business school I earned the MBA from

Age section (I am 29) 10 points:
1) original driver's license
2) birth certificate (only a certified copy, US-born citizens do not possess their own original certificates)
3) notarised copies of all pages (blank pages and the cover included) of my passport

Past Earnings (March 6, 2006-March 4, 2007) 30 points:
1) US W-2 (tax form) for 2006
2) printouts of online wage slips, signed, stamped and dated by my employer
3) a letter from my employer, verifying the amounts on the wage slips and verifying that the online versions are all the company provides
4) bank statements for the entire period claimed (notarised because they are copies)
5) I included an exhaustive list of ways my employer may be contacted to further verify the info

English language section:
1) original undergraduate diploma
2) official undergraduate transcript
3) letter from my university, stating that "all courses taught at this university are taught in the English language."

Total points claimed: 75 points

I think that's everything, fingers crossed!

Approved on review. I found out this morning!

25 April Sent application by FedEx from the US
1 May Payment accepted
9 May Phoned: got ref. no.
15 May Phoned: caseworker assigned
17 May Phoned: rejection on grounds of past earnings evidence. Explained situation to caseworker. Caseworker suggested that I might want to apply for a review
18 May Documents delivered to my address, not sent Registered (glad they arrived!!)
23 May Faxed review request
25 May Phoned: request received, caseworker not yet assigned
30 May Phoned: still in queue, advised to phone back late next week
6 June Decision made on review, approval letter posted
12 June Phoned and heard what happened 6 June!

I expect my HO letter will be delivered by the end of this week.

hello ball1333,

congratulations. just few doubts. when you said rejected because of past earnings. can elaborate that problem. just want to find what kind of problem it is. as even my cousins case was rejected on past earnings section.

see the case for more details
