Any Tier-1 (General) new applicants??

sorry guys

urget treatment was sent on 11th August............ and i got the email from case worker and customer care on 13th that they have taken my application urgently and i should get my doc back soon

That makes more sense now............. good job anyways mate. It really does help then in stamping and dispatch of the doc's, if u send an urgent treatment but i dnt think it has any effect on the approval.

so clearly your application was already approved (29th) before urgent treatment..also for stamping it was lying for alread 13 days.

Until 10 weeks are completed, they will keep telling you that the service standard is 10 weeks. After 10 weeks they will say there is no time limit...so that's the way it is.

Just talked with CC. My case is still with CW and under consideration. They did receive urgent treatment fax yesterday but he said that it becomes only effective after the file has moved forward from CW so that CW can take its time in having a fair decision.

For me, CW put a note on 22nd July asking latest bank statements inspite of the fact that i did submit statements dated 15.05.08 for 10th June application.

I got to know this only on phone call with CC on 08.08.08 when he read me the notes. No other communication...so without any further arguments I did send the new bank statements same day by special delivery. (Ironically, i received a 2nd class mail dated 07.08.08 the next week from CW askin the same). Anyhow they received the same on 11.08.08 and since then I have sent UT request as well.

When I asked it is 10 weeks , they said there are no service standards for Tier 1.

and UT only speeds up dispatch and stamping.

So if your application is with a CW , it will be with him/her unless they make a decision .

Another anxious and stressful week for me

any updates enqi_guy?? u have been waiting since 15may...........its almost 3 months now

Spoke to a very kind CC agent and he said decision would be made in next 2 weeks or so,


He put me on hold and spoke to the caseworker to whom my case was assigned to.

Guys, next time when you call up .try requesting the CC agent to speak to the caseworker .

atleast u gonna recieve ur doc's in day or two. we have people here waiting since 15th may. by the way wht did u write in ur urgent treatment.

its not two days its two WEEKS.


as i said UT speeds up assigment of your case to a CW and priting/dispatching.

My request was based on CRB checks to enable me get access to HMP and carry out my admin duties.

However, i had spoken to Rush and one other guy, they both mentioned that my passport is between stamping and dispatch and that i can send an urgent request letter.

I am sorry to hear abou that. What a poor service your agent has given,
inspite of swallowing such a huge amount of money. Thats really shame on their part.

Anyways, If you are planning to re-apply better i would suggest to download the latest forms and guidelines from the UKBIA website.

The guidelines says them all. Read through each and every point mentioned in the guideline and check to that you are ok with those
do's and dont's.The last updated forms are as on 08th August 2008.

If you have any queries, i would suggest you to go through all these 140 pages of this thread. Aspirants like you have discussed in length, each and every practical aspect of applying for Tier 1 - General Application including dependants. That would be really helpful for you to gain confidence on your application.
