It took apprx 10.5 weeks. When I called on friday 29th August I've been told it's still with us by CC. But I received the documents today. As soon as I go home and check the docs, I will update with additional info...

My humble observation is if it takes long time, it arrives approved. Don't be bothered with people who got it before/after you who applied before/after you. I don't think there is a logic behind. It's totally random I guess... It's easy to say but hard to act I know... Until last week I was so worried and tired because of worrying, I couldnt worry anymore...

This forum is amazing, I will keep checking it, I won't leave totally..

What additional docs they send (like any approval letters etc or just passport with visa stamp)?

you will be receiving the approval letter mentioning the date of approval, points claimed and points given, passport with the visa stamp and all the documents u submitted...

congrats to all who recieved their docs back today.

I called HO today, my case is still not assigned to case worker.I applied on 23rd june.Any advice guys.Should i apply for UT??

They are processing cases received till 17th july.

Even I called them this morning, in my case it is with case worker. I have applied on 26th June. I am planning to request UT as I am travelling this month. Not sure if they will consider this request.

Did u check if it is awaiting any information from your end?

yeah i asked CC that is there any specific reason why it is not assigned to case wroker she said that it is procedure they are following.She didnt say anything regarding any missing document.

At the moment I go by thumb rule. If they have not asked for any additional information within a month from the date applied, 99% chances are it is through. The rejected cases as per my understanding will be within a month or max 6-7 weeks.

So relax, hopefully we should be getting our documents within this week. If not at least the hope is it will not be rejected but may arrive late

Just because he has sent a UT does not mean that they will treat it as one. That is the feeling I got from calling HO. You have to verify
1) If they have received it
2) If they will treat it as Urgent.

Hi all

Thanks for the updates and all the encouragement. iIjust want to add my timelines to the list. I applied on 28th June for Tier 1 and status is still waiting. I havent called or faxed for UT because most people in this forum say its useless. I will press on this week and see. Thanks to all

All right guys, here's my exact timelines;

WP to Tier 1 (applied in UK)
App. Sent: 19-06-08
App. Received: 20-06-08
Letter Received (dated 20 June): 23-06-08
Approval Date: 06-08-08
Visa Stamped: 21-08-08
Docs Received back: 02-09-08

No UT. My work permit was 5 years btw...
I received back passport and all documents I sent also the approval letter with an additional page explains my points...

One interesting thing is I claimed 40 points but awarded 25 since I didn't get my missing bank statements stamped after I got them from barclays. So get them stamped for sure... I claimed 95 awarded 80...

Lot of people got their passports back today with T1 stamped. Today is really a great day ... and also Indian festival day ... Ganesh chaturthi:). Let me also bring the good news. It took exactly 3 months for me to get my passport back with T1 stamped

I understand that if the statement has got bank logo , its considered authentic and hence it does need to be attested further .

Basicly for the 12 months period I had 3-4 months missing in my bank statements. I asked for that period from barclays and they sent it in a few days but on a white paper printed with no stamp or no logo... I do believe I had to go to a branch and get a stamp on them for authenticy... I hope this makes it clear...

Looks like , a lot of CW were on vacation last month and now all are back . As we see the outcome coming now

Hi guys, despite knowing that calling HO can be useless, I decided to do it my self today as I had nevr tried before. As other guys said there is a good guy who takes your ref number gives you some specific info on your application. I think I got this guy and after a short period came back and told me the 3 words. 'STILL UNDER CONSIDERATION'. Dont know what to make of this. I applied on 28th June. I guess this means another 2 weeks of waiting.

Hi Grant1,

I have got a print out document from UKBA<no where in this document it is mentioned as approval letter> which mentions the points claimed/awarded and the date on this document is 19/08/2008. I believe this date is the approval date. This date + 3 years = 19/08/2011 matches with my 'valid until date'. I hope this helps

I had just called HO it is still with case worker and a decision has not yet been made. Hmmm...! More over I am travelling last week of this month. Fingers crossed I will get my passport by that time.
