Called a few minutes ago and the recording is still at 29 Aug. Last week some one mentioned that he spoke to them and they said that they are actually working around 8 Sept.
Ha ha ... :D
funny thing just happened. I called the HO. And the aotumated system said "They are processing requests received until 28 Aug 2008" .... they are going backwards now
Yes only they can go back in time :D . However, a person at http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... c9754fe9d2 sent application on 5 Sept acked on 8 Sept already with the case worker.
I don't know what HO is up to. I just called them and was able to talk to one of the CC executives. She said that they are processing apps received till 29-Aug !!!

All ppl here are gettin diff replies from the HO .....

The point which i wanted to raise and have other members views on is,wht is taking soooooo long (upto 6months) for verification of the docs by HO both for (UK and abroad evidence). in most of the cases, if they dont want to issue you a visa they return your docs in 2 or max. 3 months. havent seen anyone so far (since the time of intoduction of tier1 in 04/08 ) who had to wait for more than 14weeks (3 months) and havent been issued or issued a visa. so dnt know if people who are waiting for more than 14weeks, for them its a good or bad thing?

Have to wait and find out. Cant do anything...................... HELPLESS

congrats. Did you know that your case was approved on the 29th of Sept or did you have to wait until your docs arrived? Do they send you a separate letter first confirming whether is has been approved/declined?

Did you speak to Home Office after 29th Sep 08 and what was the status of your application then ? There are cases where the Home Office still says "It is under consideration" and actully the applicant got it approved and received the docs back..

Thanks and Regards,

Congratulations! Thanks for sharing. I am a WP holder as well, just wondering if HO phoned your company during the consideration process or not? Do I have to tell my boss about my application? Thank you.

Also in the application form,

For section

Shall I write : PBS TIER 1 (GENERAL) or need add some more details, e,g, my visa reference number. ?

7.18 When is the job expected to finish?:

I have permanent job here, shall I write down end date of my visa or shall I leave this blank

Part5:

After eating his brain for 15 mins and telling him tht ur automated system is announcing 29th Sept, he finally took my ref number and told me tht "Your Case has been Assigned to a case worker on last friday and you should check in another couple of weeks" ...

amazing stuff happaing here guys

well come to the wonderful world of HO.......... u dont quite understand how luck u r that u only applied on 18th sept and ur case is allocated to CW, think about the people who have been waiting since May-JUNE, who applied under TIER-1.

Wait paitently for 2-3 weeks and u will get ur papers back if everything is straight forward and u r lucky enough, otherwise it can take up to anytime. and no one can do anything about it as the ball is in there court.

Hope this helps

Tier - 1 Approved

Post by ob40 » Mon Oct 13, 2008 10:45 pm

Dear All,

I finally got my passport with Tier-1 visa today. My time lines are,

applied - 22 Aug
received at HO - 26 Aug
ref dated - 26 Aug
case assigned to case worker - 23 Sept,
approval letter dated - 23 Sept,
visas issued - 23 Sept
documents posted by HO - 10 Oct
documents received - 13 Oct.

Number of dependants - 4

As I am a pre-Nov 2006 HSMP participant, my case was decided on the JR judgement even though I applied on a Tier - 1 form, fulfilled all the requirements and had 120 points. But I am happy for this to end successfully which ever way.

I dont know why did it take the HO so long to post the visas.

I am grateful to every one here for their kind support and guidance through out.

Thank you and best wishes

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for the Tier 1 application by end of this month. For claiming the pervious earning I need to show the 12 months pay slips i.e. from Oct 2007 to Sep 2008. During this 12 months period I am having two salaries

Oct 2007 --> Indian salary (I landed in UK on 20 of oct 2007 and the 10 days salary is credited with my Nov salary to my UK account)

Nov 2007 to Feb 2008 UK full salary and it is credited to UK salary account and I am getting the basic salary in Indian.

March 2008 to 31 March 2008 Indian full salary credited to my Indian salary account.

April 2008 to Sep 2008 UK full salary and it is credited to UK salary account

While calculating my earning points in BIA tool I am calculating as below.

Oct 2007 Indian salary * exchange rate * 5.3 and selecting the country earned India and .

Nov 2007 to Feb 2008 UK salary and selected the country earned UK, during these period I am getting my India basic salary. The Indian basic salary I converted into GBP and added into my UK salary and not included the uplift ratio

March 2008 Indian salary * exchange rate * 5.3 and selected the country earned India

April 2008 to Sep 2008 UK salary and selected the country earned UK.

Please let me know whether I am using the right method to calculating my pervious earning points. Please clarify this.

I think you are doing it right....
Whatever be the place of your workplace, use the uplift ratio for that earning...

Hi all,

I spoke to the HO just now. One lady picked up the call and after checking in the system, she told me that " Your application is complete and has been sent out on yesterday" . But she declined to tell the decision. I hope that it will be a good news.

Waiting for the post and the last minute thrill.

Hey nevadawipes,

try to be relkax and just check your language and rudeness level, i was just trying to tell whateever you say others try to follows otherwise it is not better to taunt or point out something on what is not there.

Don't take me wrong in any sense and try to calm yourself down, i knw what i am writing and trying myself hard to provide as much help as i can not to demoralize others like you did.

I think it is better to stop it here because you are getting personal and that's not good at all, so as you are using the forum for so long so at least show some manners instead of being abusive, i will try from myself not to create situation like this.

Hope you understand it is nothing personal.
