After the initial message, press 1 for Tier1 application

After 5 minutes waiting, you may get disconnected

or get the second message to ask you to get your reference number ready.

Then several seconds later somebody will answer your phone.

you may need try several times.

please share your results.

Re: Indian Salary + UK Allowance

Post by shilpigoel » Tue Apr 29, 2008 3:07 pm

Hi Kiran,

my case is also same and I am also applying in next few days. I called HO also and ask about this. they told me show 2 proof of UK allowance then they will take into considertaion so I am going to show UK allowances salary slip and bank statement.
They told me 1 more thing, if you can arrange letter from employer for total earning in India and UK that would be +strong points so I arranged that document also.

when are you plaaning to apply?

kmore97 wrote:Guys,
I am applying to switch from WP to tier1. I'm paid Indian salary and UK allowance. Without any upliftment, I earn more than 40K taking together Indian salary and UK allowance. There is no tax deduction from my UK allowance. I'm getting the slips for the allowances and they are stamped. What is the chance of approval if I submit the following documents

1. Indian pay slips (stamped)
2. Indian bank statements
3. UK Allowance slips (stamped)
4. UK Bank statements

Please reply. It's urgent.

Regards,

Hi shilpigoel,
Thanks for ur resoponse. I'm planning to apply in a day or two - just waiting for bank statement from India which is already couriered. I don't have any such letter from employer that consolidates my total earning. I'm taking chance - I cannot delay it further as I want passport to be back by 1st week of July _ i planned travel to India to attend my brothers wedding. Also, if I try to obtain such a letter from my employer - it may not remain confidential any more.

What documents are you providing for Eng Language .

Are degree certificate and medium of instruction certificate from university enough?

Requires Help in filling up form

Post by kmore97 » Tue Apr 29, 2008 8:25 pm

Guys,
While filling up forms - there are couple of places where you need to mention the start date and end date of the degrees.
The dates to be entered as dd/mm/yyyy

I vaugely remember the months and year, but definitely not the day. Can anyone suggest what is the best thing to do - to leave day(dd) empty or put some approximate day.

Regards,
Kmore97

Word Version of the tier 1 application form

Post by kmore97 » Tue Apr 29, 2008 9:17 pm

Hello all,
Is there any word version of the application form. Where you can type in and then print. The PDF form, we cannot edit - so do I print it and fill up by hand.
What about printing the form - single side or both side?

The entire pack is becomming to heavy.

Those who got approval, please reply.

Regards
Kiran

Mine was a fresh tier 1 application from WP within UK.

It took them more than three weeks to stamp my passport and they never told me my application had been approved when I called them during that three weeks.

To irf etc:

Your documents probably will pop up on your door anytime soon, just be patient. Good luck, guys.

Documents back today

Post by twinkletwinkle » Wed Apr 30, 2008 1:41 pm

Today I got documents and passports (me and two dependents) back from Home Office with Approval.

My case is WP to Tier 1 from UK applied on 2nd April.

I guess this is the good news for every body who have the case like me - Allowance in UK + Indian Salary. I calculated Indian Gross salary as UK earnings without uplift factor.

:)
