URGENT..

Hi hsmpinuk70,

Thank you for ur prompt response!
Yeah, I too wanted a written proof , but they are not responding to my mails...I'm getting automated mails which says that 'below are the list of FAQ and it would resolve ur queries'....they're so busy that they do not time to write a mail to us.......Over the phone, I confirmed that yes I can switch from different customer care ppl........But the problem is, how to get written evidence???

Thanks again!!!
hsmpinuk70 wrote:Suggest you check with BIA and get it in writing from them that you can apply for visa switch from within UK even if your HSMP application was made from India.

I wouldn't trust the telephone operators who don't have a clue about the immigration laws and are, in all likelihood, 3rd party contractors. If I were you, I'll lay my trust on a written confirmation.

This is just a suggestion .. up to you to ignore it or follow it. All the best.

Hi ,
I guess once u receive your PBS then your WP and all the conditions with it are void... as the whole immigration status changes. Now the thing with employer even i m not sure.. if you would refer to my previous post, even i have raised this query. I suppose you dont need to mention to your employer anything unless you intend to leave them(even this is conditional i guess).. but would appreciate if any of the members who have gone through this would comment..

Cheers !!

I would appreciate if you can please tell me what happens to WP after getting Tier 1. Does WP still hold valid? If it becomes void then my current employer will get to know, in fact I'll myself have to tell them.

And pls mention anything important for this specific scenario i.e. WP-Tier 1 switch......I've to apply for myself + 1 dependent.

will appreciate ur feedback.

Hi akuk77,
Your WP will be void once you receive your tier1 visa under new PBS. You needn't inform explicitly to employer unless they ask for the WP documents to change client or any other purpose.

Hi Abhishek,
Do you have any statistics how long it takes if applied from UK during April? Because, I have seen applicants got their approval within less than 3 weeks. I mean most cases are 2 to 3 weeks. But the same speed doesn't seems to be now. Do you have any idea if there are long queues now???

Thanks

Any approval? Any MARCH applicant waiting.....

Post by synchrony786 » Mon May 05, 2008 10:11 pm

Hi all,

Its more than 7 weeks now since I have sent my application and no feedback yet. Irf!! have you got any decision yet? Anybody who applied in March and still waiting? does anybody reckon why this much time HO takes to decide a very simple application? does it imply that it has been rejected? if so shouldn't have it be sent by now? i mean why this much time even in rejection.... 'll appreciate your arguements in this regard...

I have just gone through the latest results list and only Irf is waiting for decision apart form me who also applied in March....

hope to hear from you guys soon

thanks in advance

Tier 1 - Initial Application Query + Depandent Application

Post by viren2k7 » Tue May 06, 2008 12:19 am

Hi Everyone ...

I am currently on Work Permit in UK and if all goes well, plan to apply for Tier 1 in Next 10 Days

I have few queries and require help of all you experienced friends

(1) What is the usual time taken by HO now a days for Tier 1 Application ?

(2) I have required level of funds in a E Saver Account which only has online statements.
(2.1) Will Internet Statements do ?
(2.2) Will they need certification by a Bank ?
(2.3) Do i need a letter from the bank to support these statements ?

(3) With my application, I plan to also apply for switch into tier 1 for my depandent Spouse and Child who are in UK with me.
For their Maintenance Requirement,
(3.1) Do i need a seperate copy of the bank statement or letter or one single bank statement/Letter showing the required amount of funds i.e. Gbp 4000/- in last one month will do ?

Pls advice

dear friends i have few questions as i am about to apply for tier 1 general

I am a student in UK and studying here for 3 years
after the first year i changed my course and there was a gap of 3 months.
will it affect my application?

i came here on 13 january 2005.
i am submitting 12 payslips which i worked in a company before coming to uk. Tax year in pakistan ends in June. ( JULY TO JUNE)
i am submitting payslips from Jan04 to Dec04
i have a tax statement from july03 to june04 which covers 6 months (jan04 to june04 for which i am supplying the payslips) and then i have tax challans with tax office stamps which shows i have paid tax.
Will homeoffice accept my tax statement and tax challans with payslips
and will they consider it 2 evidences...

kindly advice me

Hi synchrony786,
So far my knowledge is concerned, your application can't be rejected bcoz rejection happens sooner. They might have some delays in clarifying the docs you sent. So, its time for you to ring them up and check. They will answer in details whats going on if it crosses 28 days. Did you call them yet?

profound delays in making decision

Post by synchrony786 » Tue May 06, 2008 10:31 am

Hi sankar/all,

thanks for your feedback. yeah i did contact them for a couple of times but they get rid of me by saying that it is still under consideration. some time back one of the workers told me on the phone that one case worker has finished working with it but its now waiting for some sort of "Authorization". i did call them up for a couple of times after that but same answer "under consideration"... as far as docs r concerned, they r crystal clear and i have been workign for more than 2 yrs in the UK and am currently working for a public service government organization which they can confirm in minutes. i worked for a private company for more than 14 months and even the manager can be contacted in seconds ... dont know whats going on... please let me know if anybody has gone throuhg such delay...

thanks

Got Tier 1

Post by carpra » Tue May 06, 2008 10:46 am

I have applied for Tier 1 on March 19.

Documents submitted
1. Original Passport(age 10)
2. Original Degrtee Certificate (Degree 30)
3. 12 month payslips(signed and stamped by employer)( earnings 45)
4. 12 month Bank statements matching
5. Maintenance - latest 3 month bank statements
6. Covering letter explaining my points claimed
7. Notary letter to state the names in Degree certificate, payslip and passport are the same person.

I used an uplift factor 5.3 for my earnings and i had only submitted my India payslips, later realised for better or worse that i should not be using the uplift factor. so I sent additional documents

1. Change of Circumstances form
2. UK allowance slips
3. Matching bankstatements
4. covering letter

The additional documents were not considered for the application, fortunately the documents i have submitted initially were sufficient for the points i had claimed. I was awarded 45 points for my earnings made in india, eventhough i was living in Uk for about 6 months during this period.

So finally i got my documents back today.

Date Applied : 19 March
Reached Home office : 20th March
Credit card charged: 20th March
Reference Number : PB300***
Decision : Approved on 26th April
Documents received :06 May

Thanks for the help everyone !

Have read through most of the thread and have a couple of questions..

a quick update on my background, i am currently here on a work permit and it expires in about 8 weeks.. so planning a switch to tier 1..

1. The names on my degree certificates and passport do not match (initials not expanded in the degree certificate). is this an issue? How to obtain a notary letter?

2. my bachelors and masters degree are listed in the self assessment tool? do i still need an Naric endorsement? can i sent the naric assessment as a seperate attachment to support my application after the initial application?

any help will be much appreciated

Thanks

Hi Sankar, Synchrony786, laskk, all of you.

I call HO today as well they said me that decision has been done ( donno what it is?) and my document can be send at any time may b tommorow or some time this week or next(operator is not sure).

When i call last Thursday the BIA told me that i can here my decision this week through post(at that time i didn't care about this news, coz i waited to loong and not sure whether they are saying truth are not?) But todays call made me some good response that it proofs me my decision has been done. I guess my passport is in queue to get stamp( as far as i see the list their is quiet bit loooooong time to get stamp).

So praying to GOD. n waiting for my results eargely.

Best of luck for all of u who r still waiting for thr results.....

Syn...786:- don't get dis-hearted mate, you too here soon. as far as ours appli takes looong time than others. I think we too here on the same day ( as we here the same news from BIA). and as you said about some authorization i guess it is waiting for urs passport to get stamp. n as u describe the urs document details it is good in strength to get approved. about the long time, it doesn't mean that, we will here any bad news. Keep hope mate.

Regards,
Irf.('')

I used an uplift factor 5.3 for my earnings and i had only submitted my India payslips, later realised for better or worse that i should not be using the uplift factor. so I sent additional documents

1. Change of Circumstances form
2. UK allowance slips
3. Matching bankstatements
4. covering letter

The additional documents were not considered for the application, fortunately the documents i have submitted initially were sufficient for the points i had claimed. I was awarded 45 points for my earnings made in india, eventhough i was living in Uk for about 6 months during this period.

So finally i got my documents back today.

Date Applied : 19 March
Reached Home office : 20th March
Credit card charged: 20th March
Reference Number : PB300***
Decision : Approved on 26th April
Documents received :06 May

Thanks for the help everyone !

Regards,
Irf.('')

So far my knowledge is concerned, your application can't be rejected bcoz rejection happens sooner. They might have some delays in clarifying the docs you sent. So, its time for you to ring them up and check. They will answer in details whats going on if it crosses 28 days. Did you call them yet?

Its more than 7 weeks now since I have sent my application and no feedback yet. Irf!! have you got any decision yet? Anybody who applied in March and still waiting? does anybody reckon why this much time HO takes to decide a very simple application? does it imply that it has been rejected? if so shouldn't have it be sent by now? i mean why this much time even in rejection.... 'll appreciate your arguements in this regard...

I have just gone through the latest results list and only Irf is waiting for decision apart form me who also applied in March....

hope to hear from you guys soon

thanks in advance

Hi irf_bar,
Congrats. At the end, you got a relief. Anyways, if you still don't know whats your exact status, you can call HO now. Bcoz, HO doesn't expose whether your appln approved or not before they dispatch your doc to courrier or royal mail. SO, if they have already sent, then they will tell approval status now.

If you are mad like me, you can do that. :) wish u good time ahead.
