definitely all these indian companies will create a fear in you . they will say they will take you to court .

But truth is they cannot do anything . If you are stubborn enough and ask them to go to hell ...Nothing happens . dont bow to their pressure tactics .

My friend was issued a company notice by one of this indian companies as he just absconded .that was 4 years back ...Now he is a PR ..happily doing contracting ...

Guys i have doubt ... you guys are not getting a UK salary ..So first of all i dont know if you can apply from Uk ....i think allowances is not considered a gross salary ....when you say a gross salary it is a Uk TAX/NI paid salary ......


I have many tcs friends who applied from india but not in-country application .

Good to see my post still being used by people even after many days. Let me clarify few things.

Yes, I got my Tier1 from the same company and subsequently I took decision to quit the company bcos I got a better job in UK, no other reasons. Yes I have heard that TCS is not considering HSMP/TIER1 for their associates. I know couple of cases where my colleagues were refused onsite opportunity as they had HSMP/TIER1. One of them had PR and was told by HR that he should cancel his PR and take companies WP if he wants to come to UK with TCS. This is totally rediculous. Can't understand why it's so.

Tell UK-HR that you are planning to apply for Tier1 and need attestation on salary/allowance slips, there is no harm. Everyone in HR knows if we ask for 12 months attestation. The employer can't reject it, he will do attestation.

OK let me know if you need any more clarifications.

Hi,

I recently got all my Indian and UK allowance slips signed and stamped from 18GP office
Nobody asked a thing. Go to 3rd floor and u will get the seal and then go to ur HR and he/she will sign it.

I have applied for Tier 1 and am awaiting results. But I can definitely tell that u will get the allowance slip and Indian salary slip signed and sealed.

Lodge a formal complain to HMRC. I did the same against my Indian employer as they refused to provide me the same (P60 and also stamped/signed payslips). They used to pay me salary in India and only allowances in UK. Once you have HMRC on your side TCS have to give it to you. It is illegal.
I spoke to HMRC helpline and was told to send formal letter to employer first by email, then written letter(preserve proofs). If that didn't worked out send all this proofs to HMRC and they will take action.

Once HMRC intervened, my previous employer sent everything to my home (leave alone post). As these are the case of bondage labour.
