Post by diwan » Tue Jun 03, 2008 10:47 am

Hi All,

I applied for HSMP onMarch 3rd and got a mail on 5th from Home Office that they received my application and my Ref No is 255***.

But the fees was debited on March 17th on my card. So someone pls tell me which date should i take into consideration.

Does anyone know till which date the applications have been processed.

As of 03-Jun-2008 they have processed only till 29th-feb-2008. This date is for people who have applied before tier 1 was in place

7th March is the current review date BIA are working on

Post by em3112 » Tue Jun 24, 2008 4:38 am

I have checked the BIA website and they are only looking at HSMP applications recieved on or before the 7th March 08.

Has anyone got any news on this?

Are they accepting Urgent requests at all?

Anyone else sitting in their country of Origin wondering how long they could be waiting? I came back from London...whilst still renting my place in London, working for a short while from home, and hoping the Visa doesn't take the full 4 months (which is the current worst case scenario)...

Any other people got any good news stories?!

I have now done it on June 10th applied for my Tier 1 with an HSMP approval letter and a Tier 1 dependant application (for my wife)... can anyone guide or provide an idea how much time do such cases normally take and from prev similar cases in how much time have applicants received their passports back...?? any guidance here will be greatly appreciated... thanks in advance... Have HSMP, Planning for Tier-1

Post by ksjagan » Wed Jul 02, 2008 2:54 pm

Dear all,
I have applied for HSMP and got approval in janurary23rd 2008. Since we were expecting our Kid, we had decided to apply for Tier-1.

our initial plan was to apply for Tier-1 for myself and since my wife will be in maternity leave, we thought of applying after 6-8 months(both for my Wife & Kid). Since i couldnt manage £2800+ £1600+£1600 Pounds(me, my wife, Kid), I am managing only £2800
My HSMP approval will get expire by July23rd. Now i am planning to apply.
I have the following doubts.
1) Whether my dependents can apply for Visa before 12 months.?(VAF9A says that You must have £2,800 available funds for yourself plus £1,600 for each dependant accompanying you or intending to join you in the UK within 12 months of your arrival in the UK)
2) VAF9B asks for kid's passport number etc?? Is that compulosry? My kid is 5 days old, I am not sure, i can get the Passport by tatkal before i can apply for my Tier-1?(we havent even got her Birthcertificate, since we have named her just now)

Pls let me know your thoughts on these issues.

Cheers !

I had applied on 7th August, 2008 and received my passport from VFS New Delhi with Visa stamped on 9th September, 2008.

So, it took around one month. The Visa date is 05/09/2008.

hi, i have applied the Tier 1 on 4 sept 2008 And received rejection letter at 3 Oct 2008.
i am a ACCA member and study in UK 's college call Finacial training company to get this qualification. i can find my qualificatin in the point base system calculator and i can claim the english 10 point as well in that system, so i apply by showing all the document to prove i study in uk for three years to get this qualification and they rejected my application by saying l can not claim english point by using my professional qualification. i am so confuse now as l am claiming the point by showing l am studying in uk to get this qualifiation.

any one have the same problem as i have!!

Please give me advice!!

did u apply for tier-1 PSW or tier-1 general?

BTW the qualification which awards you points for study qualification doesnt automatically gives you points for english. you should u score points on both criterias on the PBC

Hi

I applied for the tier 1 general on the 19th of NOV and got a reciept for the same from the HO on the 25th NOV 2008.

Well for a long time they were saying when i calld there 087 number that your application is under consideration now they say "it is under further consideration". I mean I am really frustrated with their way of working. Does anyone know how long more I need to wait for the same.???????

I am applying for extension, can you please provide me with application form version/reference number so that i am sure that i am using the correct application form?

Current i have following form APPLICATION FOR AN INITIAL GRANT OF LEAVE (SWITCHING) OR AN EXTENSION OF LEAVE UNDER TIER 1 (GENERAL) MAIN APPLICANT (Version 11/0Cool

Secondly, do i need to submit seperate application form for my spouse who is an dependant? Atleast thats what above main application form says?

Appreciate your inputs

I am new here....and am really worried....my HSMP approval letter has the date of 20th september, and so is expiring on 20th march....i had no idea that VAC (Karachi Pakistan) would give me an appointment date too far, i got of 17th march....just 3 days before my letter is expiring ....now my questions are :

1. will my case be accepted as of 17 th march, or the date which is considered is the one when the british embasssy receives the application.

2. is the news correct that there are agents outside fedex who cd help me in getting an urgent appointment, with some added charges...

3. If VAC , say, finds some document missing, and asks me to refurbish, wd they consider my case of 17 march, coz if they give me a later date, my case will expire, and i wont be eligible to apply thereafter.

I dont know where was i sleeping....cursing myself at the moment...

Somebody plz reply...i'll be too grateful !

Best Regards to all fellow forum members.

u4r21,

they ask for 12 months payment. if you have 14 salary slips.. its fine ..not a problem.

I agree. Don't forget that some people get paid weekly and therefore submit 52 salary slips. So long as the payments are within a one year period, it's fine.

Got my tier1 approval within 15 days

Post by ashishj » Fri Mar 06, 2009 5:17 am

Hi,
I applied on 19th Feb 2009 from Mumbai. My approval was processed by 4th of March and my passport and other documents were delivered to me on 5th March 2009. I think it should not take more than a month unless there is a discrepancy.
