Hi, Thanks for putting this together. Could you please check the links however? I tried both of them and I can't download the files from 4share.com. It asks me to wait 20 seconds to download but nothing happens after 20 seconds. I do not really trust the 4share.com site to go create a premium account.

Thanks for your help.

Nothing wrong with the link(s) provided .. checked after reading your post!
Try after a few hours ... or from a different machine if problem persists.

I got my visa extended (TIER 1 general).

All the best . Hope to buy you a drink if we meet.

Hi Chetan,
I must appreciate your hard work and the way it has helped so many people.
I just wanted to check, if I can use the same set of documents for my HSMP extension and which form to be submitted, while I wish to apply for me, my spouse and son ( 7yrs old) at the same time.
Thanks in advance for your kind help.

This is good work....I would say we could also include cover letters for each section for

1) Previous Earnings
2) Age
3) Qualification
4) Maintenance Funds
5) Dependants

Question

Post by md1982 » Mon Feb 20, 2012 9:44 am

Hi everyone,

Firstly, thank you for providing such detailed information on the application process. It has helped me calm down a bit, especially given this is the first time I am applying from within the UK.

I just wanted to clarify a few things, if this is not the correct forum, please redirect me to the right one. I am a newbie!

I am applying for an extension under the tier 1 General category, and am over my required number of points, so all good on that front. My question is regarding the supporting documents requirements.

Given that I have been a salaried employee of a company in the UK (not owned by me, neither do I have shares/ stake within the company) for the past two years - a) Do I need to provide documentation on dividend vouchers?! If so, how do I go about doing that. b) Do I need a letter from an accountant, wouldn't a P60 or payslips suffice? c) Because I am applying in March, I may not have a P60 for the past 12 months, in which case what other documents should I be lining up?

These are probably very basic questions, already answered somewhere on this forum, but I've been through a few and haven't found the answers. Any information you can provide will be very helpful.

Thanks
MD

Is it necessary to provide a covering letter?
I never provided any when I was a student or even on my Tier1 application and never had any issue with that either.

However I am due to extend my Tier1 visa in two weeks and recently I came across about the idea of covering letter.

Please let me know, how important is that.
