well its always first sent to your house and if u r not there than they leave a card which u need to take to Post office to collect ur envelope.

No Idea to be honest, they must deal quicker with applications. I sent all the docs I could, 12 month payslips, P60, 12 month bank statements, all my diplomas, wrote a nice cover letter detailing the documents attached and the points I am claiming.

One thing that I wanted to stress is the fact that I spoke three times this week to the HO and they were very very nice and helpful. The first time to tell me my application was completed, the second to ask them about the outcome (whcih they told me over the phone); and lastly to ask them when they ll send my docs back

Cheers
Mi

Madihi11.

I note in your good news posting you received the visa stamped docs on 18 October 2008 and I assume you are not based in the UK.Please clarify because it appears that applications lodged at BHC offices in some countries are being processed quicker than in the UK.

So you received the docs today or you expect them tomorrow. Am also in United Kingdom and applied for switching from WP to Tier 1. Applied on 30/09 and urgently in need of the new visa because I want to change jobs within the next 3 weeks. Sent a UTR 2 DAYS ago.

Loosing patience

Post by vijayvvd » Fri Oct 17, 2008 9:58 pm

Hi,
I applied on 8 th August WP to Tier 1
My UT was also accepted.
About 4 weeks back one gentleman from cc told me the application has moved to CW s Manager, and I should get back result within a weeks time.

But 4 weeks passed no news......I was forced to postpone joining date with new employer.

If it doesnot come within one weeks, I will loose the offer.

Any suggestion what can be done now

My timeslines are as follows

Switching from Work Permit to Tier-1 (General) without Dependents
Applied from UK on 21-08-2008
Application received on 22-08-2008
Reference letter dated : 26-08-2008
Payment detected : 27-08-2008
Assigned to the CW : 22-09-2008

Approved and Stamped on the same day : 22-09-2008 :o
HO response till yesterday : Still under consoderation

HO neither called my employers nor my University. Actually i had worked for 3 employers during the 12 months period for which i have claimed points for my earnings. So i have submited payslips from three different employers, and bank statements from two different banks....etc etc

HO didn't bother to call none of my employers..

All the best for those still waiting for their results.
Hope you all end up with some good news.
