when did u apply. because normaly they 'll contact to your employer. so u 'll have to wait. even i am also waiting from last 3 months. and if u contact them they 'll say u wait.........

Hello All,

I submitted my application physically in Dubai VAC on 30.03.2010.
30.03.10 - sms 'visa application has been dispatched to the British Embassy'
02.04.10 - sms 'visa application is under process at the British Embaasy'
08.04.10 - sms 'processed visa application is ready for collection'

Same day collected my Tier 1 (General) Highly Skilled Migrant visa valud from 07.04.2010 till 07.04.2013.

Though I am happy, nervy honestly i didnt expect it to be so quick..
I am little upset immigration officer didnt consider my intention to travel to UK later and didnt put a later date as start of the visa. My own mistake probably - i put the date of intended travel as Nov 2010 whereas immgration officers can not put dates not later than 3 months into the future....i didnt know that.

Now, will go and try to get my visa re-stamped with later date....do you think i stand a chance?

Even I got the same message today from VFS Hyderabad. I am surprised and even excited to know what could be the status since I just applied on March 24th 2010.

It was to collect via courier, and they have provided me the courier reference number to collect my documents.

Anyone could guess if this is just my documents apart from Passport. Or am I unlucky this time?

I just found out that my application courier can be tracked using my passport number at http://www.bluedart.com/index.html. It was just sent from chennai and I am supposed to pick it up at hyderabad on 16th April.

I applied Switching to Tier 1 visa in UK. Mine is straight forward since i showed my UK salary for last 12 months totally claiming 105 points.

Application sent on 27th March 2010
Application received on 29th March 2010
Fee deducted on 29th March 2010
Acknowledgement received on 31st March 2010 dated 29th March.

I heard many people got visa stamped in less than 3 weeks time. One of my friend applied on 27th March and he got his passport back yesterday (13th April). Any idea when i will get to know the decision?

The first calling bell today morning at my door step was from the courier boy holding VFS cover for me.

The cover didnt seemed to carry any extra size other than what I have sent (documents & passport) as told by some one else here in the forum it comes with extra size when stamped. However first thing I did was quickly flicked through the passport pages ...

TaDa... Its Stamped!!!!!!!!!

As requested by me on my application from the date preferred to travel my visa starts from 1st of June 2010 to 2013.



My VISA Credit goes to obviously Meah & All of you here for getting a success with out having to waste extra penny on Visa Consultants.

I have applied IN country on 25th march and still waiting to hear. Also tracking royal mail. No communication yet.

Why are worrying that much? Nobody knows when their case would be considered. Some people wait for 2-3 weeks in total, while others wait for over 3 month, and noone knows why. However, delays are likely if you claimed any overseas income or degree (as those need time to be confirmed). Just be patient. I also applied on 1st April, no communication since then.
