I have been waiting for 44 days now. They have issues with different nationalities. I have sniffed it out while trackin other people cases on trackit.com. If they turn out against me on the case, i will simply take them out to court since the company i work for wanted to send me to usa and the freakin case worker is taking all his life to make a decision ehehe

renzokuken, your application will most probably be dealt in coming week as per HO information on UKBA website.

Waiting times

This page gives details of the processing time for applications made under Tier 1 (General) of the points-based system.

During the week commencing 19 April 2010, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 1 April 2010. This timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.

The customer contact centre is currently experiencing a very high level of calls, so you may experience difficulties in contacting us. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Wish You Best Of Luck !!!

Got my Tier 1 under the new Tier 1 rules for anyone that is interested. Applied in New Zealand (as an NZ Citizen) and applications are sent to Canberra, Australia for processing.

Timeline as follows:
Date of payment (date of application) - 6 Apr 10
Application sent - 8 Apr 10
Application received - 13 Apr 10
Application returned (visa approved) - 20 Apr 10

Total turnaround was 8 working days. Processing time for visa approval was 2 working days. 3 working days each way for application to travel to and from New Zealand to UK High Commission in Australia.

Extension and Rule for ILR

Post by amirbashir » Thu Apr 22, 2010 3:51 pm

Hi Guys,

I entered in UK 35 days after I got entry clearance in 2008. When I will apply for extension I will get 3 years from the date of current expiry.

That means after 3 years I will be short of 7 days to qualify for ILR and I have to apply for 2nd extension.

Any expert can advice please how can I avoid 2nd extension:

1. Can I request HO while sending application for extension to give me extension of 3years and 7 days?

OR

2. Should I send my current extension application just 1 week before the current expiry so that processing time should be spent after the current expiry and I will get visa 7-8 days later of current expiry.

Any expert's advice will be much appreciated.

Regards
