I submitted my documents on 10-jun, i sent an email to HO and got the follwoing response

Thank you for your enquiry

Case workers are currently dealing with applications received on the 03/06/08,therefore if your application was
received after that date it is likely your case is not currently under consideration.

It is not compulsory for you to submit the drivers license it is only required if you are unable to provide other travel documents.

I hope you find the above information useful

processing times

Post by purple2008 » Mon Jul 21, 2008 3:01 pm

I just called today and they said they are considering Tier 1 applications submitted June 10.

I submitted mine on June 30 and sent in a request for urgent treatment last week, but they said my case still isn't in the database.

Is there anyone out there who has made a request for urgent treatment lately and gotten a response?

Will there be any adverse effect / delay in processing, if we enquire the status quite a few times say 2 to 3 times a week?

Did you get anything in the post acknowledging your request for urgent treatment? What was your reason for urgent treatment?

I sent in a letter requesting urgent treatment last week but haven't heard anything back. And when I called today, they said I wasn't in the database yet. Any info much appreciated.

I have not got any acknowledgment but when i gave a call next day to HO they said that they have received my request (through fax) and have considered it.

Reason of urgent treatment was to shows all original docs including passport and Visa before 1st Aug for bank loan.

In your case try it out again tomorrow they may give u an update & BOL

current applications

Post by mbasaaga » Wed Jul 23, 2008 5:05 pm

Did anyone call to find out what applications are under process these days? Seems like the Home Office is taking more than 4 weeks as mentioned in the ref letter to allocate cases to the caseworkers.

My application date is 9th June; and it is still waiting for case worker allocation! It's been more than 6 weeks and not yet allocated. I did call them last week and they said - applications made on 3rd of June are being processed. I called up Yesterday again - they gave me the same answer. But this time they said - applications made upto 3rd June were being processed! Means no progress in last one week!?

Applications made after 3rd June

Post by veereshkb » Wed Jul 23, 2008 8:31 pm

Has any one made application after 3rd June and got the documents back? I've made on 9th June for extension under Tier 1 and still it is not allocated to case worker! Has anyone asked HO in last couple of days on the date of application being processed?

I have applied on 3rd June and I am still waiting for the documents. I have been trying to get an update from HO but no luck :(

Applied on 3rd June

Post by tier1_june5 » Thu Jul 24, 2008 9:45 am

I applied on the 3rd of June.
Called Home Office today.
Was told that my application is currently being processed and it will take between 1 to 2 weeks if the application is not a complex one.
I was also told that they have started processing applications upto the 10th of June.

Huhh that's a good sign. They have progressed a bit...moved from 3rd June to 10th June. I will call up tomorrow to see if I get the same answer...

But, 1 to 2 weeks processing for a non-complex application looks bit strange!

They seem to have moved on to pick up next week lot - upto 10th June. So you case should have been processed. Ring them up...they keep you waiting for 5 minutes but finally you will reach somone!
