Re: Tier 1 approval received today

Post by jozzy » Tue Aug 12, 2008 12:33 pm

[quote="darksun"]Congrats mate.

So they stamped visa on 21st July but when you called them on 29th July, they said still no decision? did I get it right? So they don't give correct info about the status?

No they don't at all. ON both occassions I was told specifically that no decision had been made as yet. My case was pretty straight foward just to give an idea of what I sent in to help anyone who might be applying as well

WP to tier 1

Phd certificate
Letter from Uni confirming that I was full time
13 payslips : included an extra one because I was a bit anxious
bank statements to corroborate salary
Letter from Bank confirming balance in my account ( took advantage of the transitional arrangements for maintenance) so 1 month print out also attached to letter from bank

Many many congrats!!. I am also the same situation like you but my case is straight forward. I applied with my consequtive 11 payslips (got 20 points from earnings), UK salary, HSBC bank statement and UK masters certificate. We are expecting our first baby in first week of october this year. I need to sponsor my mom to come UK end of september (atleast) to stay with my wifes labour time. So i need to send fax and e-mail to HO asap to get my passport back so that i can bring my mom before september.

Is it possible for you to give me a guideline, how i will fax them, what kind of proof i need to fax and a format if you have please?

Visa Category: IGS to Tier 1 - Leave to remain
I applied on 16th July.
Payment taken: 17th July
Reference Number received: 20 th July (Dated 17th July)
Status: Waiting

Many thanks in advance!!!

Marbin
Hello Marbin,

Thanks. I am not sure whether HO will consider your urgent treatment request so soon as for you its only been around 4 weeks and it might not have reached the case worker yet. In my case I was waiting for about 8 weeks. What I guess from other people experiences is that the urgent treatment request only speeds up the stamping and posting of the visa and does not affect the time taken for the case to reach the caseworker and approval by the case worker. Though its just a personal opinion and you should send your request anyways as in worst case they will not consider it.

As for the format, I did not follow any specific format. I just mentioned that my visa and contract was expiring and my employers want to see the updated visa for me to continue working. You should do the same and explain your situation and why you need the visa soon. Send it both by fax and email. You will probably get a reply to your email otherwise ask for your application status after 2 days.

Good luck with your wife's labour. Hope it all goes well. Let me know if you need any more information.

Cheers,

Faisal

Looking at the situation. its pretty clear that HO sends and processes cases in batches. if you have noticed most of the passport come back on tue and wed of every week and they have been moving forward in batches from last 3-4 weeks.

There is a long delay between stamping and approvals aswell, dnt know why is that but it might be the part of there process.

Regards

updates on time and delays

Post by sajidme » Tue Aug 12, 2008 3:48 pm

hi, just to update on the application time...
i applied on 28th june, payment deducted by 29th june and applicaiton sent forwarded to next department on 1st July. I called this monday for update and they said they are dealing with applications made on or before 27th of june (friday).
though this is 7th weeks now (in my case) i have sent a request for urgent treatment...see how it goes....i believe they are taking 8-9 weeks for processing (start to finish) as seen from the forum replies...shouldnt take longer than 9 weeks for simple and straight forward cases...

will keep you updated when i will recieve my visa...

Yeah hopefully, next week should be the turn of the applicants between 10th till 17th june and then from there onwards. following the trend most of the people get there passports back on tue or wed.

You may be right. Just to share my good news

I applied on the 9th June, HO recieved it on the 10th June, got reference letter on 13th, Visa stamped 21st July, Received by Recorded delivery this morning.
Ref No. PB308.

P.S when I called on the 29th of July I was told that no decision had been made and when I called again on the 4th I was told that it was under consideration so for all those who are waiting dont get discouraged by the long wait caseworkers might just have been on holidays.

Cheers
Jozzy
Same here - with exact dates!
I got my visa today; but is stamped on 24th July (seem to have been approved on that date, as the end date is 24th July 2011). But when enquired on that day and after I always got the usual answer. So what Jozzy is saying is right! Don't worry if you've not yet got...it's holiday season for them!

I have applied on 27 th June 2008.

Any Idea???

I made my application on 9th June for HSMP Extension under Tier1 (JR was not there at that time).

Now since the Judgement Ruling is implemented, to consider the old HSMP rules, I'm wondering what is happening to the applications made before this asking extension under Tier1!!

Have any of you got same situation???
Hi

I had applied for HSMP extension under Tier 1 with full points. Today I got back my passport with residence visa and a letter confirming that my application is granted under old HSMP rules. I had not mentioned anything about the JR. They are now automatcally considering the HSMPs prior to Dec 2006 into old rules, although you had applied under Tier extension. So, you don't need to mention it inyour appplication - just apply under HSMP extention if you are applying now.

All the best!

Also, if some of you are wondering on the Bank statements. I had sent my original statements only till end of April. Month of May and till application date in June was shown only on online banking print out.

Hi, Does anyone know if the Home Office would respond to an email query to conrfirm if the case worker has requested for any additional information [additional bank statements or so..]

I cant seem to get to them on the phone, and I dont want to be in a deadlock if for some reason we missed out on any letter the Home Office would have sent us requesting for additional information...!

I have a feeling your case would have been dealt with. I sent them an email and they said that they are looking at applications sent on the 27th of June.
They do respond to emails, not sure they will give any status updates.

Hi guys,
I'm just off the phone to HO. I was told my application was between the stages of approval and stamping (the final stage) i.e. has been approved! So hopefully I'll receive my documents in the next few days. I suppose this information also applies to all those who are in a similar timeline as myself.

My timeline is as follows (IGS to Tier 1):
Application submitted: 19th June 2008
Application received by HO: 20th June 2008
Money deducted from my account: 20th June 2008
Reference number received: 23rd June 2008

This forum has been really wonderful! I wish you all the best of luck

It can't be bad :) come on :)))

What did you ask exactly? Because the one I talked today simply refused to say anything since 'they don't give updates on Tier 1'...

First time when i called it was the standard response"We can't give individual status,it takes 9 weeks for the total process"again in the afternoon i asked my friend to contact ,the case worker asked for the date of application, when he said it's 22,"CW asked for the ref number then told that application is processed and sent for stamping and will be hearing soon"
