But one thing i am thinking should be mentioned in success letters i.e. total points. Home office only provide the detail of marks for unsuccessful applications but on success letters they only mention that you qualify securing the minimum criteria of 65 points. This thing creates problem specially for those who have claimed the points for spouse. They remain unaware that either they have got the 10 points of spouse or not. Cause this may cause serious problem when they travel to UK alone and at the time of FLR, Home Office says that as we have given you the marks for Spouse and you were suppose to travel with him/her, but you did not and no FLR may be granted.

Please advise me the solution for such problem.

regards and best luck to all

april applicant

Post by chivdog » Thu Jun 23, 2005 10:46 am

here's my timeline:

1. 8 April 05 - couriered application from Australia
2. 12 April 05 - received by HO (7 days before my 28th birthday)
3. 20 April 05 - application received back from HO with problems relating to credit card payment
4. 21 April 05 - resent entire application with a banker's draft and took a photocopy of the front page (which was date stamped as received at 12 April)
5. 25 April 05 - received by HO
6. 29 April 05 - banker's draft cleared
7. 10 May 05 - contact HO requesting ref no. advised by charging team that payment had cleared and application was being sent to charging team that day.
8. 20 May 05 - requested ref. no by email to HO, ref. no given on the same day by return email together with confirmation that application received by HO on 29 April 05.
9. 20 May 05 - telephoned and emailed HO asking them to ensure that original receipt date (12 April) was recorded on their system as the date the application was received by them. Confirmation received on the same day from the HSMP Team that my application would be treated as under 28 application.
10. 15 June 05 - contacted HSMP Team by email requesting that they return my original docs so that I could arrange my affairs before departure in mid August and potentially apply for a different visa.
11. 16 June 05 - reply by email from HSMP team saying that my application was being given urgent treatment, and another email saying that my application, cover letter and cv had been lost. Scanned and emailled copies of each of these documents. Email received confirming that my application had been sent to a caseworking team.
12. 22 June 05 - Letter of approval (dated 16 June 05) and all original documents received from HSMP team - no prior email confirmation of any decision being made.

Persistance (and not patience) is a virtue.

I claimed 90 points (15 degree, 35 experience, 5 under 28, 10 spouse, 25 salary and wages). I was borderline on salary but I claimed it anyway relying on fluctuations in the exchange rate. Also I supplied a suite of documents relating to funds available, job prospects, efforts made to obtain employment, accommodation etc.

Good luck.

Hi Indian,

I think the documents that you have listed are more than sufficient. You can go ahead with those.

Regarding the experience coutning, they will obviously count it formt he date u apply and not the date it reaches. Rather on the date when u get the experience letter, you must have finished the time required by them.

I have not yet appleid for EC, i am aplnning to do so next month and elaving India in September.

May i know where r u from In India?

All-

I emailed WPCustomers yesterday and received an email back today. My timeline:

26 May sent application via Royal Mail super speedy next day at 9 am service (out of country applicant- US)
27 May application received
27 May funds debited
31 May application sent to caseworker (043XXX)
21 July query regarding status

The information I received back was that it had been allocated and that it was awaiting consideration.

Hope that this information helps anyone else who applied around my time- maybe things slowed down again due to an increase in applications back around the time of the fee increase. This is ok for me, I was thinking of sending along one or two other documents to strengthen my work claim, and Im not looking to leave the country before Christmas

31 aug 2004 applicant refused

Post by indian0105 » Sun Aug 14, 2005 7:06 am

Dear all ,

After long delay my application was refused .. without any authentic reason ..

(28 Below ) my self B.Tech + Spouse M.Tech Will They really required Highly Skilled i am quit surprised ..
:!: :?:

All the information that i sent with my application was correct and satisfactory to get 80 Points on the basis of which I had applied for.

My case is completely satisfying the norms which has been set for HSMP young person.

My time line :
Application received : 31 aug 2004
Ref No : 255**/01
Additional Docs Send : Feb 2005
Refused on : 03 Aug 2005

Reason : “ Based on information received from the british diplomatic posts in India, We are not satisfied that the evidence provided with the application is accurate”.

I am quit surprised that there was not a single query come from british diplomatic posts in india at my residence / Office / University / Police station for verification of my correct documents. So please specify the reason on which basis British diplomatic posts write that “We are not satisfied that the evidence provided with the application is accurate”.

Pls Any one help out what is wrong going on in HSMP

26 May sent application

27 May application received

27 May funds debited

31 May application sent to caseworker (043XXX)

21 July query regarding status

22 July status updated- "yet to be considered"

02 August decision made-

"rejected due to impossibility of being intelligent enough to do a BA in Anthropology and a MS in Economics, therefore the MS is counted as a PGDip, as based on the CV submitted by applicant, which should have no bearing on the decision whatsoever, with complete disregard to the two original documents confirming the presentation of masters thesis topic at an international conference" ( these are my words :))

09 August- Received rejection back at parents house in Las Vegas- all documents intact

22 August- Will be posting an appeal on this HIGHLY questionable decision.

Hey did you send any original docs or were they all xeroxed attested docs ? I think it is good for appeal and review of your app.

It may be the case, just speculating, that they found your xeroxed attested tru copies docs as fake or something...though they may be true things according to you...otherwise I find no reason.
I think that is why they are trying to make things stricter so that there is no such doubt.

I believe it's currently quite quick (within a week!) - my first app was received by HSMP team on Mar 22 and returned to me on Mar 28 (but it's a refusal;-( reapp out on Mar 31 and back on Apr 10 (approved finally).

Another experience to share: refused at first time because of only copy of passport submitted (under 28); approved on the basis of original passport. So recommend to submit app with original passport or notarized copy as evidence of age (if no others available), of course when you apply under 28-. Good luck to everybody here!
