I HAVE SENT OFFER LETTER WITH LETTER HEAD OF NEW COMPANY. THEY MAY VERIFY THAT ONE. SO MAKE SURE IT. I DIDN'T INCLUDE ANY TRAVEL DOCUMENT.

Good News

Post by wp_to_t1 » Thu Sep 11, 2008 2:21 pm

GOOD NEWS :)

Applied – 31-Jul
Payment Deducted – 01-Aug
Approved – 27-Aug
Docs Received 11-Sep
Processing Time – 6 weeks

I had made UTR on 29, but it seems my application was processed and approved before my UTR actually reached HO. And they still took 2 weeks to post my passport. So I doubt if UTR made any impact on application processing.

I think the timelines are affected by your application as a whole. If your application is straightforward and all the documents are provided well in order with all supporting calculations already made, it expedites the processing. I had sent all the calculations (including point calculation for earnings and a daily balance chart for fund maintenance). I also highlighted the salary credits amounts on bank statement which corresponds with amount on pay-slips.

I was told by CC guy that my application was given to a case-worker on 26th and the stamp on passport shows date of 27th. So the whole assessment took just 1 day. If we make their work easy for them, they do it faster.

This forum has been very helpful throughout these 6 weeks. Good luck to everybody. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have on my application.

Switching from WP to tier1(General)

Hi GodnLuck,

I was going through the forum, my case also looks same as of yours[GodnLuck]. Could you please spare a few moments to clear my doubts?

I am an employee of an Indian company. I am on deputation and working in UK on a work permit for more than a year or so. Every month, I get paid living expenses in UK and salary is paid in India in Indian currency.

1. Could you please let me know whether I can claim points for salary paid in India in Previous earnings category. You mentioned, you claimed points for both UK allowance and Indian salary. Did you use Band D upliftment ratio (5.3) for Indian salary conversion?

Can I show income from both the countries or just income from India?

2. Can I submit three months UK bank statement as a proof to support minimum maintenance funds (£800) in Maintenance category?

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi test1234,

My case is same as well except for that I work in US getting paid in US and India.

Here is how you should calculate:
UK Salary + (Indian Salary * ExchangeRate) = Total. You can not apply uplift of 5.3 for Indian Salary when you worked in UK (physically present & worked in UK).

This thread may help you to get answers to more questions you may have http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 369#195369
Best regards,
Mani

Post by GodnLuck » Thu Sep 11, 2008 9:39 pm

Hi-This is GodnLuck(poor me-God is still there-but have no luck)....

Here are the answers- although review it properly because I was not a success.

1.I didn't claim for 5.3 because I was not in india during this period. But if you had some time in the 12 months spend in India-you could very well apply uplift ratio for that period. Show income from both countries as allowance and salary

2.Yes mate-3 months proof can come in the form of UK bank statements.if you could give proof of an ISA that is also fine.

Good Luck

Hi,

Probably I belong to the same company as you. There is not many company with this structure anyway:) Anyway, no you can not use the 5.3 factor at all. The equation is simple: you can use 5.3 only when the earning is made in India, that means when the earning was made, you were physically present and working in India. There is no ambiguity about that. So, you can use 5.3 only for the period you were in India. Unless you have age with your side, you have waited too long. Best is to apply immediately when you come at onsite. then you can show offshore salary and multiply by 5.3.

Hello Friends,

Wow!! what a relief for me.....Yes by gods grace I got my visa stamped and got my docs today..Visa approved till Aug 2011. Here goes my timelines guyz

Applied from : UK
Applied : 23-June-2008
App Received@HO : 24-June-2008
Money Debited : 27-June-2008
Reference No Rcvd : 01-July-2008
Status : Approved
Doc received : 12-Sep-2008
Vaild Till : 19-Aug-2011

Here goes my application details

1. One covering Letter
2. 1 Main Application
3. 1 Dependent Application
4. Master Degree certificate (No marksheets attached)
5. Letter from NARIC
6. IELTS Certification
7. 12 Months bank stmt and pay slips
8. for dependent I just attached the marriage certification and no other proofs.

and I was worried about some of things in my application, may be this will help for the people who's case is like me...

1. Name in the pay slip :
- by some how my pay slips got only my first name and not my surname, I was bit worried about as this may a give a CW a chance for declining.
2. I am actually living in a sharing apartment where I don't have any kind of agreement on my name and my wifes name. So I did not provide
any solid proofs for for both of use(I have seen in the forum for some refusel due to the accommodation proof)
3. and for my wife I haven't attached any documents except the passport and marriage certificate.

Gods grace everything went well for me, and I wish all best for the people who are waiting.

Cheers

Here are my details:

Applied on: 27th June
Approval date: 02 Sep
Stamping date: 06 Sep
Valid till: Sep 2011
Docs received: 12 Sep

I got a call from CW on 28th Aug asking me to fax a page from the applcn form, i did that the same day. I applied for 85 points but was awarded only 80 points, since i dint have the bank stmt for one of the months.

I dint send any covering letter, just neatly arranged the docs and provided detail on how i arrived with the points for my earnings. i showed earnings from 2 countries, had to use uplift ratio for one of the country earnings.

My advice is to send a covering letter as well, this might clearly set expectations on our applcn to the CW, which i think will make their job easier.

All the best guys.

Cheers
