Hi guys,
can you pls answer these questions regarding tier 1 general extension

1) do the payslips need to be sealed and stamped by employer? The payslip has employer name but not the logo. will it be acepted?

2) Do the bank statements be sealed and stamped?

I dont know if anybody does stamping on the payslips or any other document in uk. I am thinking it is only in india. Your help on this is appreciated.

Can you clarify the visa application fee for the main applicant.

I'm struggling to undestand all the options on the application form.

Is it £800 for the main applicant when applying hsmp to tier 1?

and 129 per dependent

You could have posted queries in a new thread. Why do you need to get them stamped? Seal or stamp is only required when payslip is re issued, when bank statement is printed online.

imikins and Settled2013 - Congratulations guys!

I just spoke to UKBA adviser and he told me that it will be 408 and pointed me to this link

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... eral/cost/

This is what the page says

Code: Select all

Tier 1 (General) application fees for applicants who are switching from the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme
Close

Applicants and their dependants can pay the following reduced fees if they submit a valid Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) letter with their application:
Now I do not have a valid HSMP letter as I got the letter in 2008 and used it for entry clearence.

can the advisers on this forum advice on this issue please

I was searching for dependants documents. Can some one please answer this question.

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 207#380207

Question is:
I have 3 dependants
My Wife
My Daughter
My Son

Should I send Marriage certificate and birth certificates as we used for intial entry clearance etc etc.

If we have to, then shoould I translate again from here OR I can use same english translated certificate that we used on intial entry clearance???

Any thought will be appriciated. And some one can please refer me the list of documents just for dependants.

Thanks in advance.

ALL documents

Post by babarali » Sun Jun 06, 2010 10:43 pm

I am new to this forum so please bear my silly questions.

I am applying my HSMP extension to Tier-1 in 10 days I have following list prepared:

1. Application forms
for myself and for my 3 dependants

2. For Age: Passport

3. For English
: HSMP approval letter that I got in 2008.

4. For Qualification: HSMP approval letter that I got in 2008

5. For Earnings:
Source-1: 12 months bank statements from June 1, 2009 to June 1, 2010.
Source-2: 12 payslips (Standard One of Employer). Also a letter confirming the last 12 months salary.

I am also taking P60 that I received this year, as it is not covering whole period so I am adding payslips and bank statements.

6. Dependants Documents
I was concerned about this as I asked above, I am not sure should I add the marriage certificate and babies birth certificates that I used on intial entry clearance.

I KNOW IT MAY TAKE SOME TIME TO READ BUT I WILL BE REALLY REALLY THANKFUL IF SOMEONE CAN CONFIRM PLEASE.

HSMP Letter is valid only for 6 months from the date of issue so this does not apply to you

I am grateful to God and members of this forum for their support. Visiting this forum while waiting for my visa really helped to keep me sane :D

I got my documents back today with extension approval.

Timelines:
permit expiry date:14/08/2010

application posted via special delivery: 20/05/2010
applcation received: 21/05/2010
credit card payment deducted: 21/05/2010
initial letter from home office: 24/05/2010

extension permit processing date:10/06/2010
passport received: 12/06/2010
permit extended to: 14/08/2013

I applied for myself and 1 dependant (due to limited maintenance funds), will apply for 2 more dependants next month (so it's not over yet!).
I claimed earnings from 2 sources of income - full time/ highly skilled job and part time non highly skilled employment.

Thanks again for responding to my questions, including the silly ones (i know i asked a lot of those).

Good luck to those still waiting for a response from Home office.

Now i can sleep better at night :D

Tier1(General) Extension

Post by feigoronin » Sat Jun 12, 2010 9:45 pm

Hi,
I have my Tier 1 General visa(for 3 years) obtained in May 2008 and it expires in May 2011. Can someone advice how much in advance I can apply for my extension? I have heard that this can be done up to 6 months in advance. Can some one please provide the correct info on this?

Thanks,
FR

There is no such rule on 'how early' one can apply. I can say 3 to 4 months earliest, based on timelines provided by so many users on this forum. You will have to use search facility to find and read those post.

Hi tier1visamk,

permit expiry date:06/01/2012

Application posted via special delivery: 15/05/2010
Confirmation letter from home office: 20/05/2010
Extension permit processing date:14/06/2010
Passport received: 16/06/2010
Permit extended to: 06/01/2014

- You have applied 1.5 yrs before the expiry, was it tier1(general extension)?
If yes what is the earliest date you can apply for extension?

- if we have past earnings of 12 months will it suffice even if we apply one year before extension?

rgds,
sharbt_hvr

Thanks for posting your timelines. Cheers!

Hi sharbt_hvr,
there is no rule on how early you can apply. Search forum to know what are pros and cons of applying early. There are so many threads to discuss this question. Cheers!
