@Zeeshan

Thanx for ur wishes. I had applied from KHI VAC on 3rd of December and got visa stamped on 1st of Feb. This was my second attempt and thats why they have not verified anything.

I had applied for Tier 1 in August 2008 and my case was rejected on the maintenance of funds requirement. Although I had met their requirement and submitted the Bank statement which was also received back to me along with other bank statements but they refused on the ground that i had not submitted bank statements. I had requested admin review in september but it was of no use, so i reapplied in december.

Good Luck 2 you guyz. One more thing to tell u guyz, when i went to pick my passports all persons who were there to collect their passports were getting their passports stamped with VISA. I guess they have opened TAP of visa. So inshallah u will get the visa.

@flakhany

Assalam-o-Alaikum:

Thanks for the info. yepiiii...u from khi-pk. Can we have a meeting mate, before u leave to UK? When are u planning to leave? Its sad that u previously got refusal, but now its all OK, Alhumdulillah u got it now. I am confused, coz. my verification hasn't been done yet :? my application is of 16th Dec'08. One person told me in other forum that they took time for applicants who already had a visit to UK before, so that made me a li'le relaxed as I did have. But its really difficult to wait yaar :roll:

About your experience of vac-khi, good to hear that, may ALLAH give everyone who has applied for visa, success - Aameen.

Keep updating and stay in touch plzzz...

GOOD LUCK..

i am currently confused about the best time to leave for UK as economic conditions are worst right now and all my friends in UK are advising me not to venture.

@Flakhany

You are absolutely right :wink: ehm ehm...they updated their site and now my status it is showing is :

Your application is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same

Alhumdulillah got this. but yaar, started to get even more stress :? as to what I am going to get :?: Sir, may I know that, is this the same status one get before getting/collecting passport??? I am confused with their wordings, why they said your application is ready rather than passport :? Please update soon...

Yes, economic condition isn't good there, u right, but its not really going to be perfect soon, it will take considerable time, that one can't wait for that and have to try luck (i think). when your visa is going to start??? period of visa???

Thanks for reply...stay in touch plzz and pray for me...

Also, do I have to wait for the call to beek an appointment for collection or can I go there without that???plzzz guide?

Best Regards,

Certificate of Deposit account as my maintenance requirement

Post by hhsmp » Mon Feb 09, 2009 2:32 am

Helo guys,

Atlast i find a place where i see pakistani people all ready to guide :).

I have two queries:

I have Certificate of Deposit account as my maintenance requirement for Tier-1. Amount was deposited 4 months back in October and money is fixed since then and is ofcourse 2800 plus GBP. Certificate got matured on 8th Feb once and was re-newed after that, the profit got transfered to other current account opened the same time with COD.
Is that fine for my maintenance requirement?

Furthermore i got rejected because of bank statement when i applied for student visa twice in sep2005 and feb 2006. Is there any impact of student visa rejection on this? As i heard that if there was ever such a rejection on financial documents i will get rejected for next 10 years minimum even if i have all the things correct :(.
Anybody please guide.

Dear hhsmp

I think u should go through Para 197 of the guide. I suggest don't take chances and keep it in ur pls account or current account. I had submitted mutual fund statement with a note that it is encashable on 1 day notice in August and that was not considered for Maintenance of funds requirement.

All they see is ur bank statement and the source of fund. Don't forget to mention on bank statement where did u get those funds.

I also provided them the bank letter.

Plz don't take chances. I have lost 90k due to silly mistakes.

I also don't think ur earlier refusal has any effect on ur current application.

I would also like to suggest that first check ur job market in UK before applying. I have got Tier 1 visa but all my friends now r suggesting not 2 come.

@hhsmp
Dear, first of all, wanted to let u know that, single post will have the same impression and effect on all readers, u don't have to post 3-4 times (the same post). Your first question :s seriously, have no idea abt it, so don't wanna say anything, as I deposited cash for maintenance funds in GBP. For your second question, just wanted to say that, it is better to consult with some experienced person with your case before filing it, as HC officer can put any remarks, got every right of it, and one can't really do anything later, so better to discuss with someone who knew every bit of possibility and can resolve the problem.

Wishing you Good Luck...

@kmunir
Thanks alot dear. Always praying for others. May ALLAH bring success to everyone - Aameen.

@theimmigrant
Thanks dear. GOOD LUCK to you. Don't get confused, just work it out. ALLAH will help u. I wish, i cud help u out, but I have maintained my funds in UK and in GBP so, din't require any conversion letter or letter from bank, I just submitted my bank statements issued from HSBC -UK showing my funds status for the last three months.

About covering letter, I can only say that, its good to submit one, I din't submit any though, but saw most of the cases here on forums, that ppl used to submit covering letters with their applications, so better u do so as well.

Best wishes...

@flakhany
Thanks alot dear. Alhumdulillah, got it...Planning :s hehehe...joking :p I am in the same boat now. Really consufing, how one decide this. But, june is so far, as we need to keep this in mind that after 3 yrs we need an extension, means, have to show our previous earnings there, and if one already passed his/her one yr like that, then there will be only 2 yrs left for proving the earnings for extension. This thought confusing me right now, just want to keep in touch with ppls like you and in UK to let myself updated. Don't you think, we have to dive into the sea to learn how to swim?

Anyways, keep in touch plzz and update...

Good Luck to you...

@zeeshan
yes i m keeping my fingers crossed.....God will help me..
and there is a website
http://www.gumtree.com
must go and search for job, residence in the area you like
and since u r a telecom engineer , u dont need to worry , you will find job very easily
basically those who r finding difficulty in jobs are either on student visas, or their status in some ways are not clear, and secondly they do not have higher qualification. if u can speak enlish and impress the employer, i know the job is yours......its my experience....so dot worry...and if u have any friends and relatives their do get in touch wid them, dont reply on them but people u know are always of great help. If u find any problem then do let me know :) Job will not be a problem for you:)
take care
