Outside UK Tier 1 (General) Dep application

Dear All,

I've received British citizenship through Tier 1 route. My husband is still on a Tier 1 Dep visa and needs to extend it the last time, before the ILR eligibility. We were advised to make a Tier 1 Dep application and not British citizen Dep, as it would reset the residence clock.

Question: can we do this application from outside the U.K., in the home country? It is so much cheaper to do from outside, even considering the travel costs.

No, you must apply for the extension within the UK

An application outside the UK is not an extension but an entry clearance and spouse wont qualify for tier 1 dependent if youare British already.

In the application for the Tier 1 Dep, under the "Nationality of the main applicant" do we need to include the British passport details or the original citizenship passport?
