Subhi & Vijay

I believe the letter for bank format and accomdation letter are posted somewhere on this forum.

Please check this:
http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=24717
I am not sure whether it is on this thread or somehere but it is definately some where on this forum.

Deepinder & Senior Guys,
Please could anyone reply to my below specific query:

Frds,

I need to ask a silly question regarding bank maintenance account.
As per the below statement on the ukba website:

"For applications submitted outside of the United Kingdom, all evidence must be dated no more than seven days before the application is submitted."

My understanding is that if someone is applying on the 30thSeptember than a statement dated 23rdSeptember would suffice as it is 7 days before the application date or does the person has to take a statement that is dated 24thSeptember as 30thSeptember is the 7thday from 24th September.

Please could any one guide me on this as this looks a bit tricky?

Thanks,
Devilish.

Dear Delvish,

It is not tricky as per the guidlines it should be
immediately preceding and dated no more than 7 days prior to the date you submit your application.
if the date of submission is the 7 day than also it solve the purpose

RE: my full name
my full address

Member/Account #

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is to confirm that since July 1, 2008 our member, my <full name>, has had an available balance in excess of $9,000.00 in his # account.

If you have any questions regarding this letter, please feel free to call (800)***-****.

Regards,

<signature>
<Signatory's name>
<Signatory's designation>
<Bank name>
-------------------------------------------------
In addition to the above letter, on a separate page (again on bank letter head), they have provided the statement history from July 1, 2008 to till date. This statement clearly shows my balance has never gone below $9000/-

Together (these two letters) will be sufficient for Maintenance Funds proof. Friends, please let me know if this would be fine.

:) kanwar25,
12 month statement on bank letterhead is sufficient. you don't need a separate letter from bank. In fact, I too now have the same.

Dear Mjmani,
Thanks for your immediate reply

I have totally understood the same .

But as per the guidelines it is written that if it is electronic or online statement than you need a supporting letter from the bank to support their authenticity on bank letter head.
As my statements are also online but taken from the ICICI Bank branch
and on letter head each one of them and signed and stamp also.

so what do you think in this case.

Bank Letterhead means it is authentic

Post by mjmani » Sat Sep 20, 2008 4:28 am

Hi Kanwar25,
Anything on Bank Letterhead is understood to be authentic.

In your case:
online statements directly printed on Bank Letterhead. In addition, each one of them are signed & sealed.

This is sufficient!

To clarify your doubt on electronic or online statement. If they are printed on plain paper without sign & seal, then it won't be accepted without a supporting letter from bank. So you're good!
Best regards,
Mani

Dear friend the format which you have got from the bank only shows you current balance and your seperate letter shows the month wise balance maintained but it is nowhee mentioned from the bank that it has not gone below the required amount as one of the applicant application has been rejected coz the letter does not state thae same
if you need you can read on the same thread on page 5

Dear Mjmani,

The statements which you have got on the letter head is perfectly okay as they require only on document as a proof but the letter does not shows that the amount has never gone below the required at any time during the three months period
You can submitt only the statements also

it is now your call or you can ask you bankto issue the fresh letter .

This letter is to confirm that since July 1, 2008 our member, my <full name>, has had an available balance in excess of $9,000.00 in his # account.
I will be applying in Oct 1st week. On the day of application, I was planning to get exact same letter with date changed. So "since July 1, 2008" would satisfy 3-months period. "has had an available balance in excess of $9,000.00 in his # account" means my balance has never come below $9000/-.

In addition, I am also providing the statement of 3-months on letterhead. Just a backup.

Kanwar25,
I still don't understand why you say this letter is not acceptable.
Best regards,
Mani

Hi,

This is kandasamy Damodaran.
I am planning to apply for the tier 1 application by 1st week of Oct and I am in the process of collecting all the documents.
I am having one doubt in earning points.

For calculating my earning points need to show my 12 months salaries.
I am having 2 salaries i.e.
Oct 2007 to Feb 2008 Uk salary + Indian basic salary
March 2008 Indian full salary
April 2008 to Sep 2008 Uk salary and no Basic salary from India

When I am calcuting my earning points I am calculating as below
Oct 2007 to Feb 2008 --> UK salary * 1 and
Oct 2007 to Feb 2008 Indian salary *Exchange rate *5.3
March 2008 Indian salary * exchange rate * 5.3
April 2008 to sep 2008 UK salary *1

Please confirm whether I am using the right method for calculating my earning points.

Please guide me.

Regards
Kandasamy
Dear Amittal,

first of all the conversion of your salary is on the basis of the gross what you are getting than as per the conversion rate applicable on that particular day in the oanda site multiply it by the rate which you get by knowing the conversion of 1 INR = GBP and multiply your salary ( gross) with it and finally with the band associated eg for india it is 5.3

Hi,

This is kandasamy Damodaran
From your post I am having one doubt. You have mentioned that u need to show only 3months salary slip (Submitted for Previous earning). Can you please confirm that whether I need to submit 12 month’s salary slip or only 3 months salary slip?

Regards
Kandasamy

***APPOINTMENT**********************************************
#1. Please , Please , Please... Book an appointment before you visit the VFS Visa application centre.. Just drop a mail one\two weeks prior to your application date to appointmentsouth@vfs-uk-in.com

Give them three time slots( Date & Time).. And get a printed copy of your appointment letter, and show it to the security

****ATTITUDE**********************************************

#2. Be a wolf rather than a sheep( :P Or else the VFS guys are going to inject fear into your mind)

they might ask for some docs , which might be irrelevant for a Tier1 aplication.. The More junk docs you give, tougher would be the Integra screening and processing and guess what, you have a confusedECO officer too..

I have mentioned the list of docs required below..
******VISA FEES)*********************************************

#3. After you take your latest statement(maintenance) , please apply for a Demand Draft from nationalized banks, to pay visa fee.. Forget paying at the counter in VFS centre.. queue is(horrible).

If your application is from the south zone, then your Demand Draft should favour " BRITISH DEPUTY HIGH COMMISSION" and PAYABLE at CHENNAI...

Another tip, any amount in excess of 49000 INR, requires you to submit a CHEQUE leaf (favouring yourself).. So, keep a cheque handy when gettinga DD of 51000.. This is a new IT rule, applicable to all Banks..

*******PHOTOS*********************************************

#4. PHOTOS, if you have travelled you UK before, the standard size of photo's used to be 5 x 5.. this is CHANGED. No more "SQUARISH" type photos.. Please visit VFS-UK-IN.com and check the photo specification and keep two photos ready.. Alternatively, if you reach the VAC centre an hour earlier then an instant photo studio is avaible inside.. 100 bucks for four photos

***************XEROX**************************************

#5. XEROX required... I have attached the exact list

check list..
VAF9 + AppendixForm,
Last 3months salary slip(Submitted for Previous earning),
all Bank Statements (previous earning + Maintenance),
Points Calculator Form ( this form is Online Self-assesment Tool on UK BIA website.. It generates a PDF print),
PBS (Integra Screening- This is available at the Counter),
Education ( Master Degree Certificate)
PAssport Copies( all pages including Blank pages)
Plus, additional XEROX of the first page of your Passport (p1 & p2)

Hi Kanwar and mjmani

I got a letter from bank please check the format:

We confirm that you have been holding the Corporate Account xxxxxxx with us since October dd, yyyy and the balance in your account as on September 17, 2008 is Rs. x, xx,xxx.xx

Further the net relationship value (NRV) maintained in your account from June 2008 till August 2008 is as below. Also, the balance is never below Rs. 2, 30, 000.00 in last 3 months from June 17, 2008 till date.

Please suggest if it sounds ok?

Maintainence Funds Criteria of 7 days

Post by datastage » Sat Sep 20, 2008 9:15 pm

Hi ,

I am applying from US and planning to get the Maintainence Funds Letter and the 3 months statement after the second day of biometrics. I will submit the application and relevant documents by post immediately on the next day of biometrics

Policy Guideline says that evidence must not be more than 7 days than the date of submission of application.

Does it mean 7 days before the application date (which is date of biometrics an Payment date). ? I assume there should not be any problem for the applications with Maintainence Funds evidences produced in the 7 day window AFTER the biometrics . Please revert if I am incorrect.

hi Deepinder....

I guess you got my question wrong.
I already have the letter format for the maintenance fund which is to be
issued by Bank.
Many thanks to Kanwar for the same.

I need a format which would help me clarify to BHC that the
amount I am showing for Maintenance has come from my friend.

Since BHC would obviously see the amount in my account hence in order to make things clear I need a letter format which would state that my friend has sent me this amount as a gift.

This would help me make my case stronger that the amount is not illegally borrowed.

I would really appreciate if someone had faced the same scenario and would guide me.

Thanks
