hi Shubhi,

You have to submit original bank statements issued by bank...online prints wont work.

Secondly u have option of submitting 2 sets- one containing 12 months statement and other with 3 months OR only 12 months statement as it would reflect past 3 months also :)

For Integra you need to submit photocopy of everything you are submitting in original for Visa processing...that means you have to submit all documents in original along with one set of photocopy for INTEGRA...

Lastly... BAlance confirmation letter is not necessary if u r submitting original statements from bank..anywaY if u wish you may ask bank to draft a letter which specify how much amount is available in you account since the specified date( 3months before the date u filled the application)

Hope its helpful

Regards,
Vimukt

FYI !! Tips for submitting application @ VFS VAC

Post by Sweet.Marcus » Wed Sep 17, 2008 3:04 pm

8) Guys n gals, this is definitely going to save your time and effort @ the Visa Application Centre...

***APPOINTMENT**********************************************
#1. Please , Please , Please... Book an appointment before you visit the VFS Visa application centre.. Just drop a mail one\two weeks prior to your application date to appointmentsouth@vfs-uk-in.com

Give them three time slots( Date & Time).. And get a printed copy of your appointment letter, and show it to the security

****ATTITUDE**********************************************

#2. Be a wolf rather than a sheep( :P Or else the VFS guys are going to inject fear into your mind)

they might ask for some docs , which might be irrelevant for a Tier1 aplication.. The More junk docs you give, tougher would be the Integra screening and processing and guess what, you have a confusedECO officer too..

I have mentioned the list of docs required below..
******VISA FEES)*********************************************

#3. After you take your latest statement(maintenance) , please apply for a Demand Draft from nationalized banks, to pay visa fee.. Forget paying at the counter in VFS centre.. queue is(horrible).

If your application is from the south zone, then your Demand Draft should favour " BRITISH DEPUTY HIGH COMMISSION" and PAYABLE at CHENNAI...

Another tip, any amount in excess of 49000 INR, requires you to submit a CHEQUE leaf (favouring yourself).. So, keep a cheque handy when gettinga DD of 51000.. This is a new IT rule, applicable to all Banks..

*******PHOTOS*********************************************

#4. PHOTOS, if you have travelled you UK before, the standard size of photo's used to be 5 x 5.. this is CHANGED. No more "SQUARISH" type photos.. Please visit VFS-UK-IN.com and check the photo specification and keep two photos ready.. Alternatively, if you reach the VAC centre an hour earlier then an instant photo studio is avaible inside.. 100 bucks for four photos

***************XEROX**************************************

#5. XEROX required... I have attached the exact list

check list..
VAF9 + AppendixForm,
Last 3months salary slip(Submitted for Previous earning),
all Bank Statements (previous earning + Maintenance),
Points Calculator Form ( this form is Online Self-assesment Tool on UK BIA website.. It generates a PDF print),
PBS (Integra Screening- This is available at the Counter),
Education ( Master Degree Certificate)
PAssport Copies( all pages including Blank pages)
Plus, additional XEROX of the first page of your Passport (p1 & p2)

***********************************************************

Hi Deepinder

Thanks for the help.

My bank was able to give me 'balance confirmation certificate' on a given date only and they dont have a format stating the balance is maintained in the bank since last 3 months.

In such a scenario I got 3 balance confirmation certificates on a given date of last 3 months...For eg: balance on 17th June, 17th July, 17th Aug and on 17th Sept was so and so, also I will attach 3 month's bank statement to justify the amount....Please suggest will that do?

If I dont submit my Form 16 will there be any problem?

Please help me...

Thanks

Bank letter for maintenance

Post by mjmani » Wed Sep 17, 2008 8:56 pm

Hi Subhi,
I am in same kind of situation. My bank gave me a letter showing I have average balance of so & so for 3 months. This in-spite of explaining exactly what it should contain. Today I called them and blasted. They agreed to provide me the correct letter. I guess you're in India and it should be easy if you directly talk to them explain clearly that you will get rejected for their lazyness/lack of customer satisfaction. You can not take such a chance and force them to give letter in the format you want. I would be getting the letter from bank this Friday. I will post that format here so will help others.
Bottomline is you should demand that letter from them that should address all points mentioned in Tier 1 General guidelines. You can show them a printout from this https://ukvisas-stage.ukvisas.gov.uk/en ... ralmigrant
Main point is the letter should clearly show that your balance did not drop below the minimum 2800 pounds on any single date during the 3 month period.

Mani

Silly Question!!

Post by devilish » Wed Sep 17, 2008 9:29 pm

Frds,

I need to ask a silly question regarding bank maintenance account.
As per the below statement on the ukba website:

"For applications submitted outside of the United Kingdom, all evidence must be dated no more than seven days before the application is submitted."

My understanding is that if someone is applying on the 30thSeptember than a statement dated 23rdSeptember would suffice as it is 7 days before the application date or does the person has to take a statement that is dated 24thSeptember as 30thSeptember is the 7thday from 24th September.

Please could any one guide me on this as this looks a bit tricky?

Thanks,
Devilish.

"must be dated no more than seven days before the application is submitted" means it should NOT be before 7th day prior to the application date. Again, application date is NOT the date you post it. It is the date they receive it.

I am planning to submit my application in person on 30thSeptember in VFS South Mumbai so would that mean that my Barclays statement dated 23rd September would suffice.

Please some one reply as I am getting night mares trying to arrange this from UK.

Thanks,
Devilish

I have already applied on 12
my question is for the bank statements.

my bank has provided me the statements of 15 months on the bank letter head issued from the local branch and had signed and stamped on it
is it fine coz what i think so is that normally the guidelines demand that the statements should be on bank stationary and hope the letter head is one of them
I hope i am right

15 months statement on Bank's letterhead? Normally it would be on Bank stationery or on plain paper signed sealed. However, it is ok to have the statements are printed on Bank letterhead.

Yes, Letterhead is also Bank Stationery. You are good to go with this since you have the bank statements on bank letterhead with sign & seal. <If OR satisfies, AND definitely satisfies :)>

Is it 7 working days?

Hi Shubhi,

I believe its a seven day week and not seven working days otherwise it would have been mentioned on the UKBA website as seven working days.

Senior Guys & Deepinder..

Please could anyone reply to my above post.

Shubhi,

I would say, take the statements before one day, you apply for the visa. It will help you cover atleast some days out of 7.

Hope it helps.

Accomodation Proof in UK

Post by vijaypalrana » Thu Sep 18, 2008 4:24 pm

Hi Friends,

I got my appointment on 3rd October at Visa Application Center Bangalore. That was the earliest available slot as per the VFS people.

They are mentioning an accommodation proof in UK, which can be a letter from a relative or friend staying in UK, along with the Lease agreement or mortgage papers plus their Passport Copy. Else a hotel booking. They mention its a suggested document and not a mandatory one.

Has anybody got a letter from a friend in UK here? If yes will it be possible for you to share the format of the letter.

Thanks

Letter from Friend for TX fund

Post by snk_the_one » Thu Sep 18, 2008 7:03 pm

Hi All,

First of thanks for making this forum such informative and helpful.

I am also an aspiring Tier 1 applicant for Sept 08.

I have a small confusion, Since BHC has one basic rule of verifying

everything we mention in our cover letter hence I need a small favour from

you guys.

I have the maintenance fund supplied to me from a friend and it is showing

in the bank statement I am going to show.

I needed to know the letter format in such a scenario as I am sure that

the BHC would eventually cross verify that this account is TX to my

account. Any help would be much appreciated.

Dear SNK

The letter format is already posted by kanwar in the same thread.

dear Vijay,
if you can arrange a letter from a friend than do that if not possible than you can book a hotel thru booking .com.

Dear all
It is seven days not the working days if it had been seven working days it would have been clearly mentioned in the guidlines.

I already have a friend who is willing to give me that letter but I am looking for a format for the same. Like what should the letter contain plus whom should it be addressed to.
