What do the Home Office results look like?

Post by Melyni » Mon Mar 15, 2004 2:37 pm

Meaning...is a rejection a skinny little letter and an acceptance a big fat letter (like college application results in the States)? Or, is it the same communication..a letter attached to your originals? Just trying to prepare myself for what will be coming in the post (in 2-6 wks). Thanks.

Melyn,

Acceptance letter is a one pager. I got my originals along with the letter. So it was a bulky pack. These days I am told the originals are posted in advance.

The anxiety is obvious but wouldnt worry much.

Thanks Dip. This waiting game is nutty. It's amazing how your mind can obsess over the tiniest details when you've got nothing to do (for this) but wait. Thanks for indulging my silly little question.

Very natural, and no way silly.

decision letter

Post by HSMP_IE » Thu Mar 18, 2004 3:53 pm

I applied around 15th of January and my HSMP No. was 113**. Called them today and they told that they have made the decision on 13th of March and sent it by First class mail.

But still I haven't received any letter. Any idea how much time does it take to reach the post from UK to Germany? Or how long does it take for them to send the letter after decision? Sorry for such question but I can't wait....

Anyway, I got the approval letter today. I applied for HSMP under 28th. I claimed for the following points:

1) 25 for qualification

2) 25 for past earnings. Curently I am student since oct 2002. I claimed past earnings from july 2001 upto june 2002 as I was jobless for 3 months from july 2002 to sept 2002.

3) 25 for experience
