Visa application to UK?

We live in the USA and are about to apply for an investor visa to the UK. As our nationality is German can we as well apply for the visa at the embassy in Germany or does it have to be the embassy of residence? The reason for me asking is that in Germany the process takes 3 to 4 weeks as opposed to 5 to 8 months in the USA.Please help!

You should process your visa from Germany as compare to USA.IF you apply from Germany you will get good response.
