U can study while having IGS visa. U don't need to cancel. If want to continue ur studies then u need to apply for student extention.

Hi Tuliprose...!
if somone want to switch back for student and currently have IGS, need to show attendance in FLRS firm..(must be more than 80%). this is a student extension rule...! so for IGS how they work it out..hopefully same..isn't it..??
wat abt u mate...do u able to switch back to student from your igs.? jus need some suggestion ..! how to apply now..??

Hello, when you apply for extension as student from your IGS then you don't need any attendance record. If you read the student extension form, you'll understand. It's logical if somebody changing from IGS/PSW, how come we have attendance.
