Post study work Processing time(With Dependent Application)

Post by greenMark » Mon Oct 13, 2008 10:12 am

Hi,

I applied for PSW on 20th August with my wife's application and got the acknowledgement letter on 23rd August. We still havan't received my passports and it has been almost 8 weeks. Should I contat the home office about my passports. Will it be OK?
Is it true that it takes more time to procees the PSW applications sent with dependent applications?

Thank you

OK - I have sent application for IGS -> PSW along with my dependent on 08/09/08 and recieved acknowledgement on 10th September, 2008. Didn't hear anything after that yet.

It is so bizare for some people the turn around time is just couple of weeks, a friend of mine sent his application on 13th September, 2008 and got it back on 1st October, 2008.

Anyway no news from HO is always good news :)

Still waiting for passports. The international Student advisor of the university
told that, needs to wait until 14 weeks elapsed to make any sort of enquiries.

Do you know anybody who didn't get the dependent passport back with the main applicant? (When the main applicant posted together with the dependent)

GOOD NEWS.

Yesterday I got my PP back.

Here is the timeline:

Applied on : 3-9-08 (Initial PSW, with 2 dependents wife+child)
Ackn received: 11-9-08
Cheque payment.
Passport received on : 15-11-08
Start date on visa stamp: 1-10-08

In between I have received one letter from HO asking me to submit 2 new photographs (which are less than 6 months old) of my 4 yr old child on 24-10-08. Send those pics by next day delivery.
