PSW visa holder getting married student visa holder

Post by erenmuratemre86 » Thu Oct 04, 2012 11:56 am

Hi Everyone

I had obtained my Post study work visa on the 7th of July,2011 and eventually it will be expired on the 7th of July 2013

I am getting married a turkish student visa holder on the 27th of october 2012. Her student visa is going to be expired on the 12th of January 2013.

I`d like her to be my dependent and stay with me in the UK. Do you know what i need to do ?

By the way, on the 4th of July 2013, I will apply for Turkish National ECAA1 work permit. Therefore, I want her to be my dependent whilst im on PSW visa so we can switch into ECAA1

please let me know what i shall do ?

Kind Regards
Murat

Is she on "student visa" or "Tier 4 (General)" visa?

What should you do after the ceremony if you want to stay in the UK?

If you plan to stay in the UK after your wedding or civil partnership ceremony, you may be allowed to switch into the category of husband, wife or civil partner, with a view to settling here. Thissection explains whether and how you can apply to switch. You cannotstay in the UK if you have come to the UK as a visitor.

Because the immigration rules dot not allow it.

Since the immigration rules do not allow your wife to switch, all that text you have posted is irrelevant.

Perhaps if you read the immigration rules themselves you would see.

See para 319C h

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/polic ... 1migrants/

the passages you have quoted from the website related to applications by spouses of settled persons, which you are not.

she is on tier 4 general student visa. I do not get why you ask if she is on student visa or tier 4 general student visa. as far as im concerned, there is one student visa and that is tier 4 general student

so why did you ask whether she is on a student vusa or tier 4 general student visa since she is not a spouse of settled person, which I am not.

you even make people confused

as far as i understand PSW dependent application has to be made outside UK

so it has nothing to do with if she s on a student or tier 4 general student ( i dont even get the difference )

what a stupid question it was
