PSW DEPENDENT

Post by fala 12345 » Mon Oct 15, 2012 12:18 am

Hi,

Please someone could help me out! my husband is in uk for past two years completed his degree and has got PSW, me and my two years old daughter is in our home country.

The question I want to ask is that my husband is maintaining £1800 in his account for past three months would that be enough to sponsor us? Even I have about 200,000 rupees in my account by that is only there for about a month.

I will appreciate any reply in this regard

Thanks

Psw dependant

Since your husband has been granted Psw, he does not need any maintenance for himself. The required maintenance for yourself and your child is £600 X 2 = £1,200 or the equivalent in rupees for a 3 month period.
However, if your husband applies for his PSW at the same time with you, the required maintenance will be the above £1,200 plus £900 for the main applicant.

Wish you good luck and hope this satisfies your request

Segun how far?

I plan to bring my wife in from 9ja and I already have the PSW, from your post above, does it mean I only need to keep just £600 ( and not £1500 ) in my account for 3 months?

Absolutely. If you browse through the guidance on dependant maintenance, you need only maintenance funds for your dependant (£600/dependant), since your psw has been approved, invariably you are no longer an applicant.
