Hi, I have a query regrading working from home country after Tier 2 dependent visa expiry. I am on Tier 2 ICT dependant visa and my employer has applied for RCOS (Third time in April) for me after doing proper RLMT. My dependant visa is valid till 13 April so we are going back to our home country and planning to come back when I will get the visa.
My company is asking me if I can work from my home country for them till I get my visa.
Wondering if it is possible to work from home country for UK employer for some time till I get my visa?
Thanks
This is really confusing as I was also in a similar boat last month where in my ICT dependent visa was expiring in March and my employer had to raise this to Home Office whether I can still be employed even after visa expiry and continue working from my home country. But, the answer was ambiguous and I also googled various sites, but it is very confusing. So, it's better not to take this path as employer may face penalties if it's not legal. However, it's better you can speak to some Immigration Lawyer or Solicitor to confirm on this. The Home Office said I can be employed but employer needs to check with the UK tax authorities about the tax implications. My advice is to avoid it if it's not 100% clear to avoid any future complications.

I'm applying for the second time, with 31 points.

One thing that makes me check the RCOS threads only so often is the level of know-it-allness and negativity about this. NOBODY knows the precise cut-off until the HO releases it. Even immigration lawyers can only guess.

Also for people clogging up the thread asking about their points - please refer to the charts using Google like anyone else. But still, that's not as bad as the amount of people who come in here huffing and puffing about what will or won't happen. Are you the government? Are you God?

Then be supportive and wait your turn. We are all in this together.
Hi astana,

Please do let me know if there is any update from
Your employer. I’m also waiting with 32 points.

My first post here, even though I’ve been lurking for months now.

I interviewed in October 2017, RLMT in November, first application in December and I’ve been trying ever since. My application sits at 39 points.

I’m fortunate to have landed a position with a company willing to keep on applying, even having re-done the RLMT now.

Many are not as fortunate or are unsure of how this month and even next month might go.

It has been a long wait, with constant correspondence and sleepless nights every month starting around the 4th until we get those final answers.

I’m sure I’m not the only one hitting refresh every few minutes to see if any news has come. We probably make it worse for ourselves doing so but how can we not? We’ve come so far and this one last obstacle seems to keep us just out of reach.

Thank you to those who have supplied the information and feedback, and good luck to those still waiting.

PS: I know every person’s situation is different and we’re all anxious to get the result we hope for, but if I could ask one favour... that those with points as high as 50 and upwards just remember that there are people in the 30’s and even lower who have also been applying for months. All of us are watching the boards and we need to try and stay positive so that no one gets despondent and hopeless.

Thank you.

That means cut-off points are more than 45 ?

Refused - When you dont meet the points criteria for the monthly allocation.
Rejected - Error in the application, generally in the RLMT process.

Can you please share the content of the email as that will give us a better idea whether it has not been accepted due to an error or the points are high again this month. Thanks.

Cut off is not 45. Rejected refers to being some problem with your application. I would say if you can ask your employer the reason behind getting rejected.

Rejected usually means there was an error in the application/RLMT, where refused means your application was fine but you didn’t meet the points requirement.

Wait to see what the cut off is for the next couple of months before giving up hope. If it goes down a bit I’m sure there’s a chance you can get through at some stage if it’s what you really want and your employers are happy to keep applying/re-do RLMT.

Yeah I also doubt it’s a cut off as it’s way too soon for that.

Could you check with your employer what was mentioned in the email, please? This would give us a picture for this month.

A 60 approved already. Things look a lot better than last month :) I have doubts about my chances this month but have to keep the positive vibes

I've been on these feeds since my first application in December, application is 31 pts and I have to say it's been a rollercoaster what me and so many others have dealt with.

Just wanted to say that this forum has really helped. Nice to see some people coming together, giving information to others and helping everyone not feel so alone in this grueling situation. Thanks everyone!

I hope all this waiting will pay off for everyone :D
