Hi everyone.
I have the same problems with BRP collecting and no answers and actions from the Home Office side.

I have got the Global Talent Art and Culture Migrant permission to be in the UK for 5 years. My husband has got the Global Talent Partner permission, the same period. The decision letters both are on 18 Nov 2020. Vignettes on our passports are valid for 3 months. We made applications outside the UK. The decision letter said we must collect BRP 10 days in the post office after arriving, but, if we are from a country that needs self-isolation, after 14 days of self-isolation. It was also said BRPs will be waiting for collection for 90 days instead of 10 days.

For this date (28 of Dec 2020) we couldn't get BRPs, because they did not arrive at the post office, it is 40 days after the decision letter. Without BRPs we can not do almost anything, no police registration, no permanent rent property, no opening a bank account, no being self-employed, and move to other places.

The timeline of actions we have already made is below. Still no answers and results, but maybe it will be helpful for someone as this topic was helpful for me. And I will update the status here then.
Overall I feel cheated. No public information about delays, no answers, no status, no even tracking number and name of delivery service…

Maybe we all should collect our requests and make a petition? Has anyone encountered a similar one?

And thanks to everyone who is writing here and sharing information and updates. It is really helpful.
Best,
Iryna
Hi Iryna,

Hi all,

Congrats on those getting your BRP card, it must be such a relief.

Could I please know if you were required to show an ID to collect the BRP card from the courier? Or did they just leave it in the letter box?

Thanks,

Yaya
Hey Yaya, did you ever get response to your question? I was searching for same answer & you asked twice this question but didn't see anyone answer.
Hi All,

In my case, the BRP card is dropped at letterbox.
Did you just get it today by mail without getting a reply to your emails?

Hi Iryna,
Did you received any update about your BRP cards?
Hi! Unfortunately, no news, except the answer from the MP office, asking for my phone number and address, and then they informed me that they contacted the Home Office and will be waiting for the response. It was 6 January 2021, after this no other letters.

Meanwhile, our activities timeline expended:

- Decision letters dates both are 18 Nov 2020.
- We landed in the UK on 2 Dec 2020
- After self-isolating (2 weeks) went to the post office, on 16 Dec 2020, no BRPs
- Wrote to BRP team via website https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits/collect 16 Dec 2020, no response after 5 days
- Call to post office 18 and 22 Dec 2020 - no BRPs
- Wrote to BRP team via website https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits/collect 22 Dec 2020, no - response after 5 days
- Wrote to BRPdelivery@homeoffice.gov.uk, complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk, UKVISETM@homeoffice.gov.uk 22 Dec 2020, no responses
- Wrote to forum whatdotheyknow.com 27 Dec 2020, they respond with advice to write to public.enquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk. Also they hide my response from public access and wrote “We will provide an answer to your query” till 27 January 2021, still waiting
- Wrote to public.enquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk 28 Dec 2020, got the automatic response “We aim to provide a response within 20 working days”.
- Wrote a letter to local MP 28 Dec 2020.
- Wrote a letter to BRPOATECH@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk 28 Dec 2020
- Wrote to BRP team via website https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits/collect 30 Dec 2020
- Wrote to BRP team via website https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits/collect 5 Jan 2021
- Got the letter from MP office replied 5 Jan 2021 asking for my phone number and address
- Got the letter from MP office replied 6 Jan 2021 informing me that they contacted Home Office and will be waiting for the response
- Wrote to BRP team via website https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits/collect 8 Jan 2021

So, after the decision letter is nearly 2 months without BRPs and no answers after 20 working days after the first reports.

Thanks for sharing the details.

In my case, I have sent the letter to MP on 8th Jan, they have asked the phone number and address provided the same. But not heard anything as of now. I am waiting for the BRP letter from 04th Oct-2020.

Can we send a reminder mail to MP asking for the update? have you done it?

You are welcome. I guess you should send the letter asking for an update, yes. Our MP sent contacted the Home Office the next day after I wrote my contact details but it is not guaranteed the result. In our cases, I think every day is important and we should be pro-active.

I have finally received my BRP.
I received it by post to my house 2 days ago. Thanks so much for everyone in this forum who gave all the information here on how to tackle this issue. My BRP would still not have come if I didn't follow all the steps that I wrote in my previous post given to us by others who did it before. The email of BRPOATECH@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk responded. They took up the issue immediately and got it solved. The MP did not respond. Some other emails or departments responded too but kept saying it's not thier responsibility while one department even told me to stop sending emails otherwise my BRP will be delayed. Well I thank God that I persisted as advised by others.

Now I have my BRP.

I hope every other person waiting gets theirs too soonest.

Hello everyone,

I read the post from the beginning to the end as I am in a similar position and I have not received my BRP for over 3 months since I arrived the country since September. It is a terrible experience. I just stumbled accross this post while browsing the internet for solutions.

As discussed by earlier contributors, I have contacted my MP today, I have filled in 2 BRP collection forms today on gov.uk. and I have also sent emails to:

1.) BRPOATECH@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
2.) BRPdelivery@homeoffice.gov.uk
3.) compalints@homeoffice@gov.uk
4.) WorkSponsored@homeoffice.gov.uk
5.) UKVISETM@homeoffice.gov.uk

I have also written a letter to BRP Deliveries and Collections, P.o. Box 195, bristol, BS20 1BT which I intend to post tomorrow.

I will also fill the BRP collection from 3 times tommorow and everyday till i get my BRP card because I am exhausted, desperate and tired of waiting.

I have filled the form about 4 times in the past and they responded with flimsy reasons.

I will keep updating everyone here on my progress and I wish others success too.

So many updates!

I received an email yesterday from BRPOATech@homeoffice.gov.uk (which I sent an email to on December 4th, 2020). They apologized for delay. They said enrollment letters were sent out on the 11th of January and that I should let the "team" know when I enroll. I didn't not understand what they meant. However, today, I received in my mail, letters for me and the family saying that I have to resubmit my biometric data (For free) and they gave me a list of post offices that do that. I went to the post office today with my family and we resubmitted our Biometric data. Once we did that, I email back BRPOATech@homeoffice.gov.uk and told them we have done that. They replied immediately and told me that they have informed the appropriate team and they will contact me in "due Corse".

So, now I am waiting for them to send me an update.

Oh wow, so it's not just me! By the way, my visa vignette on my passport is valid till the 31st of January 2021, with multiple entry! Does anyone know if i can travel using the valid vignette before getting my BRP?
I would ask this as a separate topic in the forum.

I received a response today that the issue is now resolved and I should receive my BRP by next week.

Hope you will receive yours soon, too!

Regards
Congrats and thank you, hope so too!
I have finally received an email today:

Good Morning

Thank you for your email

Please be advised that the production of your BRP has been impacted by a technical issue.

We are aware of this issue and are working on a resolution.

You will be contacted in due course, please do not send a chaser email regarding this matter as there is no need to do so.

Thank you

I know some of you received such email and then got their BRP cards. Please let me know how soon did it take from receiving such an email to actually receiving your BRP cards?

Also, I checked with an immigration lawyer and he told me that I could travel as long as I come back while my multiple entry visa is still valid. I have to leave by the end of this week.

I hope I receive my BRP card by then.

Hello everyone,
We are also one of the unlucky ones waiting for the BRP.. we are waiting for our BRP since October.
but after a long struggle of "chasing" here & there,
we received an email last monday saying that we should collect our BRP from a nominated post office. It is Thursday today & so far I have checked twice in that post office but our BRP has still not arrived.
i don't know why the Home office is punishing us so much with this waiting game? honestly, it is unbearable.
By the way, does anyone know how long it takes the BRP to arrive after this "naughty email" from the home office please?

I raised the complaint multiple times from last 3 months but still haven't received a response.
I don't know why the Home office is treating like this ? .
By the way, if anybody has got any response or any useful information please share with me .
Thanks IN advance .

Hi,

In my case, I have sent the letter to MP on 8th Jan, they have asked the phone number and address provided the same. but not received any response from MP. 14th of Jan send a reminder asking for the update.
I got an update saying this issue forwarded to the caseworker once we got updates from the caseworker we will intimate you. But there is no response from MP as of now.
But on 15th Jan I got the response in the mail where I have filled the BRP collection issue saying that we are checking with the post office.
A couple of hours later got another mail update saying that you have not collected the BRP's from the post office and the same has been sent back to HO and asked to fill in some details to send the BRP to a home address.
I have provided the details and send them, then I got the reply saying that within 10 working days my BRP cards will be delivered to my home address.
Finally, BRP cards are delivered to my home address today.

but I am still waiting for reply.

Can you please what shall i do?

Hello! is my understanding correct that you were initially supposed to pick up your BRP from Post Office but instead got it sent to your home address? Did you apply from outside UK? I am asking because the post office that I had selected for BRP collection is closed and now have no idea where to pick up the BRP. Thank you

Hello everyone,

Spouse visa appliction for my wife was approved on 1 Feb however BRP never arrived. After reading this form I have sent out the email to these emails. I received automated acknowledgement straightaway for BRPdelivery, complaints, work sponsored(probably didnt need to send here)and public enquiry.

WIthin 20 minutes I received another response from BRPdelivery email address where a staff member replied to one of the BRP form I submitted earlier advising the details have been forwarded to the one of the caseworker who will contact us in the due course.

It seems like they are looking into this now especially when I also asked them to raise a formal complaint and provide me a reference and an update. I will keep you guys informed about any progress when I hear back anything. Fingers crossed the backlog will be cleared and normality resumes soon. Stay safe everyone. x

Hello everyone,
My husband got his decision letter on 20 MAR, but the BRP has not arrived yet. On 7 APR we filled in the form on the Home Office website under "BRP not received". We got an automated e-mail that it takes 20 working days for them to reply. We are only halfway through this 20 working day wait time.

Has anybody got their BRP recently and how much time did you wait for it ?

Thanks,

Hi live4pride
Have you heard back?
If you have so, please let us know from which email address the response was.

In my case I have been waiting for almost 5 months now...
My visa got approved on Nov 29th last year and I still haven’t received my BRP despite having sent countless emails to various email addresses :(
The last email I got was from BRPOAtech (I got that automated email telling me there was sth wrong with my NINO ) and that was March 21st.
I guess I’ll have to consider raising a formal complaint and involve the MP of my district if there’s no development until the end of this month... :(
