Delay in Tier2 General(Restricted) visa issuance

Post by Raj5394 » Thu Apr 19, 2018 5:39 am

Hi,
I have applied for Tier2 general(Restricted) visa on 6thApril,2018 along with my dependents(husband and son). It has been 10 working days and I am still to hear from UKVI. When I call them they are unable to give any concrete information. They would just say its still under decision.

My husband is currently on ICT and me and my son are ICT dependents. My company sponsored me for Tier2 general in restricted category and the CoS specifies about the RLMT conducted. We also opted for document check at VFS to ensure all documents needed are submitted.

Now I fail to understand the delay. Any advise would be helpful.

Thanks,
Raj.

we have been told within our company that currently UK high commission is busy and delays are expected in visa approvals ... this is due to peak period and increased volume of Visitor & Student visas

Priority visas are still being processed within timelines

Hi Sptula,
I applied for priority service so taking into account their 5 days processing period it should have been done by 13th April. However, I have still not received any communication from them apart from a mail that says its still under decision.

Hi Chiku,
No I have no information on my visa yet. I applied on priority. How about yourself?

Thanks,
Raj.

Which city did you guys apply from? I applied from Mumbai today via priority service. There were a loot of people applying for visit visas as well. Was hoping to get it by the end of the week but seeing this thread I dont think I will. Thankfully I did not book my flight tickets yet.

My visa submission city was Bangalore and issuing centre is Chennai. I called UKVI customer centre today and it is still under the decision.

You should start to worry if you did not get the visa by 27th.

Current processing time is 15 working days at max.

Hi Plabber,
When you start your visa application, they first ask for visa issuance centre, there you can select from various cities like I did Chennai.

Hi Anilsanil,
In my CoS, I had incorrect date of birth which, has been mentioned as a sponsor note in CoS. Could it be the reason I am seeing this delay. It has been 13th day already and I cant stop worrying. I have opted for sms service at VFS. Should the sms come before 27th or after?

Thanks,
Raj.

Just a quick update. I applied for the visa on Monday (23rd April) from Mumbai India via the priority service. Received an update on the 24th of April (yesterday) that the electronic application had reached Sheffeld, UK and was being prepared for consideration by an entry clearance officer.

I applied on priority on 6th April from Bangalore centre and its still under decision.

I would suggest you goto VFS centre and check, sometimes the sms service is not very prompt.
Thanks,
Raj.

Hi Raj

I hope you got your VISA? I too have 2 errors in my RCoS and corrected by my sponsor on Sponsor Note. Would that mean VISA officer double checks with sponsor before stamping? is that the reason for delay

Thanks
Ashish

Lovely news SG, my best wishes and happy journey
What is the additional fee for priority? and can we pay it by cash or card in VFS?

Congratulations. Did you get an email the previous day that your application was decided from the embassy/high commission or just on the day off from VFS asking you to collect your passport.
