Help !!! Tier 2 general, going for ILR

Post by Bakhsh » Thu Jan 21, 2021 5:19 pm

Hi -

Can someone please guide/Educate me on this please.

I am currently on Tier 2 Visa and my spouse is my dependent.

Our BRP expires in August 2021, i am currently eligible to apply for ILR since i have completed my 5 years in UK. my Spouse on the other hand will be completing 5 years next year.

1) Should i be applying for ILR now, and apply for (Partner to ILR holder) BRP for my Spouse in August.

Or

I should wait for both of us to qualify for ILR, and apply for ILR next year. Obviously that would mean i would have to renew my Tier 2 general visa in August this year.

Thanking in anticipation.

Your choice when you apply for ilr.

If you apply for ilr she can extend her PBS dependent visa for a further 3 years.
