ILR Salary requirements

Dear all,

I’m in Tier2 General Visa and my SOC is in the list of shortage occupation though my CoS has not specifically mentioned it.
I can apply for ILR in 2022 but my present salary do not meet the requirements to apply for ILR.
I will get new CoS as part of visa extension in May 2020.
1.I was wondering if I should ask my employer to make my CoS under shortage occupation category.
Will that save me from the salary criteria while applying for ILR?
2.Or since my SOC is under the shortage occupation list , the salary requirements are not mandatory for me while applying for ILR?
3.Is the only option left for me to ask my employer to increase my salary for 2022?
