Indian PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) from UK

Hello Friends,

I couldn't find answers to my queries in any of the old post so posting this, please help.

I applied for PCC on 9th Aug 2018 in VFS Hounslow and haven't heard from them yet, I have to travel out of UK on 1st September so I want to recall the application and get my passport back as there is no further update. What can I do in this situation, can someone kindly advise pls??

Their website says under normal conditions it will take 7-8 days to be issued, I don't have any bad background back in India and my current passport was issued by HCI London 2 years ago. Keeping these things in mind I applied on 9th but now I am feeling anxious.

I have called VFS a few times but they only have to say that its HCI who decides the application and VFS is only the facilitator so they can't do anything. I have tried to email HCI a few times last week with no response yet.They are not picking calls.

If someone can advise the best possible solution.

Did You get your PCC? I am also in the same situation can you please tell me how did you get your passport back and after getting back the passport did they provide your PCC.

Its been 8 working days since I have submitted my application and haven't received it yet!

I applied on Jan 3rd 2020, haven't heard anything from VFS. Generally how long does it take to get the PCC and passport back.
