55 points and 50 points backlog are high according to June stats. Like I said before, expecting the points to be between 45 to 50 this month. Once these backlogs are cleared till 45, the very next month we can expect a huge drop in cut off points. Again, this is just my view.

Thanks Mod. I am aware of this page, but unfortunately it doesn't give us point wise breakdown of RCoS allocated during the month.

If 750 seats are freed due to nurses & doctors, then this month We can for sure expect 50 & 55 to be cleared as the pending applications are also around the same number.
Doubtful for 45 to be cleared for this month :(
Keeping hopes high..

Hi all,

Let me know in case the points are calculated based on considering the basic annual salary or the total (inclusive of variable component) as well.

All the best!

Cheers

Dear Moderator,

Just wanted to check if you can add anything on implementation of new policy (removal of doctors and nurses from the cap) as in since when it is going to be applicable. I have been informed by my employer that i will be adopted in August.

Thanks

But do we know how many doctors were rejected last month? Some will be counted in last month’s backlog

Given that this is probably my last attempt, I will be back after the allocation meeting and once some of those early ‘how many points do I have’ posts have tailed off

Hi

Please may I know if you have a link about discussions on if HO requests further information from Sponsor?

When do they usually request further information, is it after 11th or between 5th to 11th or before the 5th?

And what information do they request as my employer has been requested further information to be submitted.

So, I would like to know if I have any chances to get a decision in this months allocation as I have 55 points, non sol and non nhs

It's just standard procedure. You can look back to maybe February which is the last time I saw it discussed. The request will detail exactly what they need. You're likely fine this month with 55, but honestly at this rate who knows. Good luck!

Any idea what types of documents can be sent through email against queries raised by HO. My employer is confused as there's nothing mentioned in the email.

Is it possible to send ZIP file by clubbing all the documents to HO? Any hint where can we get such information?

But which point categories here would be comprised of many doctors/NHS? Does anybody know?

Doctors/NHS would have fit somewhere into the below-60 ranks.

This is what I have been thinking. if the average salary for doctors and nurses is below £60k, then we are unlikely to get approved this month. If their average salary is above £60k, then, this month will be very good!

But wouldn't we be more likely to be approved if their salary is below 60k? Because they don't need rcos now; the slots that would have gone to them are now freed.

I know that UK doctor salaries are somewhat low, and also that there has been a lot of news over the past few months about doctors' rcos being refused. Since we know the cutoffs for all those months, we can conclude that the doctor salaries ARE below 60k (or they wouldn't have been refused in months when the cutoff was 46, etc.). I'm hoping that there were a lot of doctors in that 45k bracket.

There are some categories of doctors / nurses fall under shortage occupation, who score higher points irrespective of their salaries. By removing them from the quota, the cut-off would definitely go down.

On the other side, there are some categories of doctors / nurses who DO NOT fall under shortage occupation and they score points based on their salaries. By removing them from the quota, the overall burden at lower scores will reduce.

Overall, it will benefit to everyone including low scoring applicants.

Hi all

I'm new to this board but my employer has applied this month to sponsor me, so I've been following closely.

I've looked at the Excel spreadsheets that were supplied as part of FOI, and found some interesting stats that might indicate the impact of nurses and doctors no longer being part of the quota:

JUNE
Avail RCoS = 2049
Total granted = 1866
Minimum points required = 60

MAY
Avail RCoS = 1958
Total granted = 1906
Minimum points required = 51

1733 scored > 60 points
1905 scored > 55 points

Nurses and doctors have the greatest # RCoS issued

APRIL
Avail RCoS = 2168
Total granted = 2207
Minimum points required = 46

Below is based on those who have been granted RCoS:
# Nurse/doctor = 780 (35%)
Nurse/doctor average points = 106
Of 780 nurse/doctor, 645 scored > 60 points
Of 780 nurse/doctor, 585 scored > 65 points
Of 780 nurse/doctor, 572 scored > 70 points
Of 780 nurse/doctor, 557 scored > 75 points

# Non nurse/doctor = 1427
Excluding nurse/doctor, 983 CoS granted > 55 points
Excluding nurse/doctor, 1149 CoS granted > 50 points

MARCH
Avail RCoS = 1,414
Total granted = 1372
Minimum points required = 56

Below is based on those who have been granted RCoS:
# Nurse/doctor = 628 (46%)
Nurse/doctor average points = 127
Of 628 nurse/doctor, 626 scored >50 points

# Non nurse/doctor = 744
Excluding nurse/doctor, 743 CoS granted > 50 points

FEBRUARY
Avail RCoS = 1707
Total granted = 1720
Minimum points required = 46

Below is based on those who have been granted RCoS:
# Nurse/doctor = 742 (43%)
Nurse/doctor average points = 107
Of 742 nurse/doctor, 666 scored > 55 points

# Non nurse/doctor = 978
Excluding nurse/doctor, 792 CoS granted > 55 points
Excluding nurse/doctor, 870 CoS granted > 50 points

Why don't you ask them? We've sent PDFs, Word and Jpeg previously. You can just email them and ask, although it's probably already too late for this month?

Hi,

I have been doing analysis on the FOI report since it started. The result i am sharing is the most likely mathematical truth.

Only assumption is that in July additional applications for the month will be 1120 which is 60% of previous month ( since 40% are NHS every month). Also, 2300 seats or more will be available in July as unsed 3 months seats will come in picture + the carry forward from June

Result: July score will stop at 38 to 40 and August everyone will get through.

See calculations below

Dec Jan Feb March April May June July Augst
Refused application for month 1090 1383 1645 1956 2118 2482 2630 661 -553
Approved application for month 1915 1542 1717 1372 2207 1917 1866 2300 2300
Total Applications for month 3005 2925 3362 3328 4325 4398 4496 2961 1747
Additional Appln for the month 1835 1979 1683 2369 2280 2014 1208 1208

Total application for month = Refused + Approved
Additional Application for month is total applications for the month - pending application from previous month. ( Assuming all pending applications applied again)

Please feel free to correct me if i am wrong.
