Hey everyone, I've been keeping up to date with these discussions but haven't posted anything yet.

Wanted to provide an update as soon as I knew as I just received a call from my employer that 44 points, Non-SOL, Non-NHS has been rejected because it didnt meet the minimum points for the month.

Fingers crossed next month we have a better chance and good luck to the rest of you.

I am not sure of the exact terminology but it didnt go through purely because it didnt meet the minimum points for the month not for any other reason.

Many thanks for the update boss. I read an article today which states that even though doctors/nurses are removed from tier 2 cap, cap will still be oversubscribed for few more months because of the backlogs of past 7 months including june.

https://theconversation.com/exemption-f ... ture-98516

I didnt understand why the new rule is applicable only in July because then again doctors/nurses will have to go through COS route this month? I am not sure about this.

I am waiting with 36 points from December and I hope to get COS by around august/september which is more realistic at this stage.

All the best to everyone in this forum

Thanks

I really hope so. She is the key employee of my startup, who was working on a Tier 5 graduate VISA until December.

I think we may be trying again in July but with 31 points I think I need to accept that I am not going to get through. The hope was good while it lasted, now my life has to start all over again

Now i am thinking NHS employess have to go through RCOS route till 6th July. Which means they will be included in July allocation too. Until now i was thinking NHS will be out of RCOS for July allocation

No, they won't. The only requirement is that they will have to do the RLMT. The allocation meeting will be on 11 July so they will not be in the count.

7.15. Changes are being made to exempt doctors and nurses from the Tier 2
(General) limit. This is in response to the particular shortages and pressures facing
the NHS at the current time, and the fact that the limit has been oversubscribed in
each month since December 2017. The changes will mean that health sector
employers will be able to sponsor doctors and nurses without requiring restricted Tier
2 certificates of sponsorship or putting pressure on the limit. This will free up places
within the limit for other key roles which contribute to the UK economy and other
public services. The changes will be kept under review.
7.16. In all other respects, the change preserves the existing arrangements. This
means that all applications for nurses, and all applications for doctors not currently
recognised on the Shortage Occupation List, will continue to be required to
demonstrate that they have met the requirements of the Resident Labour Market Test.
Doctors currently recognised on the Shortage Occupation List will continue to be
exempt from the RLMT.

Sorry to Hear , so let see whether the cut off would be 46 or 51 , people with 50 points get any refusal then cut off would be same as May .

Even if it's 46 cut off we should not break our head unlezs, because there will be enough to carry 45 through next month, I will be little concerned if it's 56 because then 45 going through july becomes bleak and then you can expect 40+ going through in august along with 45 due to the few carried ones and returned rcos in July as well as august.

Honestly I still don't see 30+ going through in august I think it will be in sep/Oct. I will be happy if am proven wrong.

I really want to see how much certificates will be moved to next month. If it will be like 200-400 then it means all above 45 are cleared but it was not enough to clear 45 as well. But if as usual almost all certificates will be spend this month then it will be really strange. It might means that docs and nurses weren't removed from June allocation.

Hi All, one question please if anyone can help.

My potential employer had done an RLMT earlier in March with less salary but after seeing the high cut-offs etc they agreed to higher salary and did another RLMT. Now after getting the news of removing docs and nurses they are planning to reduce the salary so can they use the earlier RLMT or will have to do it again?

Thanks

Just got an email from employer .
You were rejected again and soc code is 2136. We assume you got rejected due to salary.
This is 3rd trial and the salary I was offered 45k can someone explain if i am on 2136 soc code with 45k salary will always get rejected as they say or assumed? Because they will not change the salary for my role! I think they are missing something ?
Appreciate helping me

It’s clearly mentioned that changes will be applicable 6th July onwards.
That itself means up to june’18 it’s business as usual.

Hi

Sorry to hear , Is it rejected or refused , both are different , if it refused means right now Government allocating COS only for candidates having salary more than 50K. Better luck next time.

Rejected means please contact your employer , they might miss something.
