Kids and wife of a newly became British citizen

Post by dalaremal » Sat Nov 20, 2021 5:00 pm

Hello respected members!

I have become British citizen in June 2021 based on 5 year work visa. My wife and two kids (born abroad and are 8 and 6 years old now) came to this country in March 2017 as my dependents while I was on tier2 General. Their dependent visa is still valid till September 2021.

Q1) While I am British citizen now, will my kids need to apply first for ILR and then naturalisation or can they apply for naturalisation straight without the ILR?

Q2) And the same question for my wife? please

Your help is highly appreciated! Please!

All your dependents need ILR first.

And the children only qualify for ILR when the second parent (in this case, the mother) does.

Thanks for your kind reply!

Both the kids and mother will be qualifying for the ILR at the same time i.e in March 2022. It means that they can apply for ILR at the same time? Please correct me if I am wrong!

In addition, please can you provide me with any link where I can find these information and links etc please.

I am extremely thankful

While they are applying for ILR next month, Could anyone help me in finding what form am I suppose to fill in or what category am I applying for them?. Secondly, will it be all in ONE application or Three different applications? PLEASE!

3 applicants = 3 X priority fees and 3 X application fees
