Making alone application for 3 year old baby

Post by Hritik » Mon Jan 21, 2019 11:23 am

Hello,
Me and my wife lives in Germany for work. Our baby (3 year old) lives with my parents in my home country.
Recently I have received Tier 2 General work contract from UK company. We want to make our(me and my wife) applications from Germany first. Later we settled properly in UK, may be after 3 or 4 months we want to bring our child to UK.
My question here, is it possible to make alone application for 3 year old baby or any of the parent needs to apply together with her application?

Any experienced inputs are highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot for your quick reply.

The attorney who is assisting with all our 3 applications said we can not make my daughters application alone from my home country and she told us that either me or my wife should go and apply together with her.
This is really confused us

Thanks for your clarification

Nonsense. There is NO requirement that you MUST all apply at the same time.

Thanks for your prompt responses.

I have asked her many times. but she is telling me the same story . The point she is stressing out is the baby is 3 year old so her application comes under minors category. So either you or your wife should apply with her.

But I am clear now.

Ask her to point out exactly where it states that a child must apply when a parent does.

Note also that you don't need a solicitor to do this application, it is fairly straightforward.

We are not contracted a solicitor on our own. It is my UK company that is providing solicitor services to assist with the applications.
