If it is true that the cut off is 55 - there must have been a huge amount of shortage and PhD roles because the backlog of 50s left after the high March cut off were cleared last month.

Really hard to ever see it dropping at the moment if this is the case.

Let’s hope for some kind of miracle that one “exceptional” allocation was a once off - maybe submitted late or something.

I think everyone needs to take a step back and relax . if you look at the December 2017 allocation in the excel worksheet on page 5 , some people were granted a RCOS even at 21 -22 points ,which was given out due to exceptional circumstances, but the cut off for this month was 56.

Secondly, this guy received his RCOS at around 7.30 - 8 am UK time, when the home office hours are 9 -9.30am onwards. lets just wait and see how the day goes ? it is only the 3rd day and I have never seen the home office be so efficient to assign all the RCOS in just 2 days, that would be a massive record for them.

As long as there hasn't been a massive nurse recruitment spree by the NHS in this month , everything should be fine, time will tell, But do keep posting if you hear any news

I doubt that 55k salary is the cut off for month. The allocation has just started and sometimes homeoffice approve exceptional cases out of monthly allocation.

It’s a clear indication that anyone who has applied for 55k and above should get approved.

We still have a week to go generally HO keep sending the confirmation till 20th of every month.

We still have time. Let’s not lose the hope. Fingers cross.

Just received a note from our immigration firm, I have got my rcos approved. I have no idea what my points are. Someone from the groups told me I get 75 points (55 for salary +20 for something RLMT or RMTL...)...anyways its no big deal. I am wishing all the people who have been waiting for months, I wish you all the divine blessings (my experience is there is nothing in anyone's hands, its all Karma)

Don't 'assume' anything. Anyone is free to post on the forum for advice and any success. Tt is not for YOU to decide who can/should or who can't/shouldn't be posting. It is not 'showing off' but applicants also waiting or confused about the process seeking free advice and support.

I dont know what you mean and to be honest I have learnt a lot joining the portal. The 55 one is a bit of an anomoly and it said that it was granted exceptionally.

If you look at the last months allocation 14 were given under exceptional circumstances. This is said on the government website. So this one because of what it says, they had made an application as emergency and got it approved. That's my guess anyway. Until we get refusals, we don't know the cut off. Let's not set the alarm bells ringing.

I understand what you mean. But as i said earlier, I dont know anything about this process. I have asked questions and people generously answered my questions and i dont even know what these points mean when I joined. yesterday someone told me my points will be 75. anyways, if at all sharing good news is considered a show-off, I cant really comment on it. I did share the news because I saw lot of pessimism in the thread which indeed might be the resultant of months waiting, continuous denial. I've been through such situations in the past so I can very well empathise. Infact, I was in such state of paranoia until an hour back. Once again, Thank you all people who have selflessly answered my questions. Wish you all good luck.

I showed in my quantitative post that it is not related to backlog clearance. Eventhough in the last few months, except one month, all backlog of 46p and above was cleared, new applicants filled it again for each month. The main bracket is above 55k salary + job shortages, with ~1500 applicants per month. Then ~400 in [50,55)k salary bracket. It was clear to me that the threshold would be at best 50k salary.

UKVI will only approve urgent requests for RCoS in exceptional circumstances and the employer will need to show that the CoS is only for genuine, urgent reasons. For example: where there have been delays caused by UKVI resulting in a newly licensed sponsor needing a CoS for a migrant who is due to start work before the sponsorship panel sits in the following month; or where a consultant surgeon has been recruited and needs to be appointed immediately because they have patients listed for life-saving surgery before the panel sits in the following month.

As far as I know the cutoff is already decided during the meeting. It's only over the course of next five days that people receive their RCoS.
