Today there is hell lot of news in all the news papers about current policy and most of the news papers are quoting to exempt shortage occupation and phd from tier 2 limits. I hope that to happen in this month, that will help all the people waiting to get through by july atleast. I know it is difficult but a ray of hope

If possible, could we get some clarity on the status so far?

We’ve had conflicting information about 45/50/55 and it’s really causing havoc.

For me personally, with 39 points since December, my employer indicated that they might not apply again. Naturally hearing something like this causes an immense amount of stress and anxiety.

If the 45 point band could be cleared this month, at least I could try and convince them to try one more time... if not the last 6 months of anxiety, hopes and stress was all for nothing.

If we have refusals / rejections, please make sure you state points with refusal or rejection and if it’s a rejection, please say why.

Getting news is better than not getting news but it needs to be credible first hand news I think.

I just got the news that my rcos has been refused due to cutoff points. Also I have been told that they are getting refusals for 50s and 45s.

How many points do you have? are you on the Non shortage list?

40 non SOL.

Just received as expected refused RCOS with 36pts. I am told by my HR that the cut off is 55 this month so far.

If we consider the latest news from guys the cut off is at least 55+ which again makes thing a lot harder. If I had known this is so much hard I would accept offer at another country. As a new graduate I am making %50 more than the graduates in same job in the city I will relocate yet they try to prevent me entering because i am not skilled. If the conditions are this harsh in post brexit UK will lack skills. Then we will be offered same jobs with double amount of salary.

If 50 points are also rejected though then that's bad because I was going to ask my guys to raise my salary to 50 to have guaranteed success next month.....now I can't convince them of that lol

i am 45 as well and havent had anything apart form 'under review' ,

Yeah I reconfirmed it .....his pay was 45009£ and no PhD or anything ...ll work in urology as junior doctor so not on SOL .....I am still confused and distressed too ....can't understand cos s**t. ....can undestand what's going on in home department

I think that they have prioritised NHS workers- so doctors etc. Hence some will get COS at 45 points and others will get rejection at 50 points due to Non-NHS roles.

As a doctor, with all his call allowances it is possible that his gross salary came to more than 50k and that would have put him at 50 points not 45.

I am with 44 points...still haven't heard anything.

Been waiting since january. Dont know if these things are ever going to improve. The good part is that more and more media is now covering this situation. Hope Mrs. Theresa May realises and does something about this. The government needs to understand that these jobs are not being made to outsiders because they are cheap labour but because the vacancies require a certain qualifications, which if not met by locals are being offered to outsiders. UK cannot exist on its own, cannot sustain on its own. No country in this world can. Everyone is dependant on others for food, oil, clothes. Living in isolation is not possible. Just so distressing to see all this.
