Not reporting delay in start date on used Certificate of Sponsorship

Post by Asking_Questions121 » Sun Jan 24, 2021 9:30 pm

Hi!

I had a question about reporting migrant activity on a used Certificate of Sponsorship (or in this case not reporting it).

If I entered the UK in July 2020, around 30 days after the start date on my Certificate of Sponsorship due to the COVID-19 issues everyone has been suffering from, is there likely to be any issue in the future if this is not reported on my used Certificate of Sponsorship? Home Office would obviously know there were delays with almost everyone due to COVID-19.

Many thanks in advance!

The covid19 immigration guidance is clear. Any changes to employment that are a direct result of the pandemic do not have to be reported to the HO through the SMS. So as long as your delay was related to covid19, you should be fine.

Hello! Thank you for your response.

Are you able to point me towards this particular guidance?

Very much appreciated!
