I got my passport today. I have not received a single mail or sms from VFS office. It so happened that I went to vfs office today and my passport was there . This was at 8.30 am . So I guess my passport had reached the vfs office on 9th May but they never updated.

Please have a check at vfs if u haven’t received your passport yet.
I received in exactly 15 working days after biometrics.
Good luck to the others who are waiting.

Since this forum was helpful to me, I just wanted to add my timeline to help others

. Category applying under - Tier 2 General ICT, Priority
2. Country of application - Qatar
3. City of Visa Application Centre - Doha
4. Date of application - 25 April 2019
5. Date of submission of documents and biometrics at VFS - 30 Apr 2019
6. Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre e-mail: 1 May 2019
7. Date of receipt of Decision Made e-mail - Never Received
8. Date Entry Clearance valid from - 13th May 2019
9. Got Email/SMS to collect Passport- 13th May 2019
10. Duration for Entry Clearance - 1 month
11. Date passport received/picked up - 14th May 2019

The letter was dated the 10 May. I found that it did take quite long for a priority application, and I did stress a bit. Good luck to everyone!

1. Category applying under - Tier 2 General ICT, Priority (with one dependent)
2. Country of application - South Africa
3. City of Visa Application Centre - Durban
4. Date of application - 26 April 2019
5. Date of submission of documents and biometrics at TLS - 02 March 2019
6. Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre e-mail: Never received
7. Date of receipt of Decision Made e-mail - Never Received - I called the home office on the 13th and they confirmed that a decision had been made on the 11th of May
8. Date Entry Clearance valid from - 11th May 2019
9. Got Email/SMS to collect Passport- 17th May 2019
10. Duration for Entry Clearance - 1 month
11. Date passport received/picked up - 17th May 2019

Even though I paid for the priority service and they did make the decision in 5 working days (bank holiday moved it back) I feel like my passport was returned to me intentionally the day before my BRP was ready to be collected? Anyone else found that?

So, I paid to expect to receive my letter and passport in 5 days, but all in from decision was a day over 2 weeks.

1. Category applying under - Tier 2 Shortage Occupation Dependant, Priority Service
2. Country of application - SINGAPORE
3. City of Visa Application Centre - Singapore
4. Date of application - 24th April 2019
5. Date of submission of documents and biometrics at VFS - 2nd May 2019
6. The Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre e-mail : 2nd May 2019
7. Date of of Decision Made - 20th May (We had to call and pay to find out - no email or notification from UKVI to VFS)
8. Date Entry Clearance valid from - 21st May
9. Got Email/SMS to collect Passport - None
10. Date passport received/picked up - 23rd May

Total days from Biometrics to passport collection : 14 Days (excluding public holidays).

We went to VFS ourselves and collected passport on 23rd May after getting tired of waiting. We got absolutely no communication from them in any way. It was out of sheer irritation we went there ourselves. We also had to call UKVI and pay the call charges to get information on status of the process.
It also seems priority means nothing and paying the extra makes no difference to processing times. This seems to be a common theme seen by many on this forum.

Our advice after going through a lot of turmoil and anxiety waiting - call Home Office for updates and go straight to VFS if Home Office say its processed. VFS cannot be relied on to inform you of anything.

1. Category applying under - Tier 2 General Normal (Priority)
2. Country of application - New Zealand
3. City of Visa Application Centre - Wellington (Auckland had a two week wait for biometric appt)
4. Date of application - 17th April 2019
5. Date of submission of documents and biometrics at VFS - 23rd April 2019
6. Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre e-mail : 23rd April 2019
7. Date of receipt of Decision Made e-mail - No Email received
8. Date Entry Clearance valid from - 5th May 2019
9. Got Email/SMS to collect Passport- NA - sent back to NZ. Arrived in NZ on the 10th May 2019
10. Duration for Entry Clearance - 1 Month
11. Date passport received/picked up - 10th May 2019

Learnings:
It took longer than expected. My theory is they only send the passports back from Sydney to NZ once per week, they arrive on a Friday at the visa centre and are distributed from there.
