PBS dependent from Tier 1 to Tier 2

dear all, I am currently on Tier 1 Global talent visa and my ILR application is pending for decision. My son is currently PBS dependent on me. My wife has her own Tier 2 General visa and will be eligible for ILR in September 2023. My son will be eligible for ILR along with my wife only as per immigration rules. My question now is do I need to move my son to PBS dependent of my wife or what are other options? His current BRP is expiring on 14th December hence please help.

Extend his current dependent visa, it will be a 3 year extsnsion or will have the same expiry date as your spouse's tier 2 if less than 3 years validity. Or switch him to your wife's dependent.

Thanks CR001. My ILR application is in progress ( pending decision). My son is currently on my dependent. How do I extend him on his current dependent visa when my ILR application is in progress?
