Priority Service After Visa Application

Is there any way to pay for priority service after submitting an application and the biometrics?

My employer was supposed to issue my contract after I apply for a visa, but now HR are saying that they cannot issue it until they have my new visa. They are sponsoring my visa, so they know everything and I have given them the application reference number so they can run a right to work check, but they are refusing to issue the contract.
I submitted my Skilled Worker Visa application and had my Biometrics appointment on Friday 26th, I did not pay for priority service because I was told I can carry on working as long as I have made the application before my current visa expires.

Any help would be greatly appreciate it!
