Spam - A Fraud Company

This company in uckfield appears to be built around filing tier 2 visa for a consultant and then threatening to curtail their visas. They also don't pay salaries on time. They charge upfront for all visa charges and service fees. Delay the salary payments by a month or more. They seem to be demanding money from consultants for almost anything including client shutdowns(2-3 weeks). They threaten consultants with curtailment if they don't pay service charges for the shutdowns.

Some of the reasons for visa curtailment threats I have found:
- AWOL for even a day
- Client shutdown
- Bank holiday without approval
- Work from home
- Gaps between contracts
- Any unauthorised leave which result in AWOL
- Unable to contact consultant
- Timesheets not approved within deadline by the client's manager
- Client hasn't paid on time
- Failure to get client to sign some random document

Is this legal? Where to report them? What is the impact of reporting them?

They prey on desperate migrants who will do anything to get to the UK unfortunately.

Action Fraud is likely the correct place.

If investigated etc, they will lose their sponsor licence.

Most Tier 2 migrants are fully aware that contracting on a Tier 2 is strictly prohibited and that a company that charges for a CoS etc is not a genuine sponsor.

p.s. you will note that the name of the company you have stated has been auto changed to SPAM as the forum is very aware of this organisation.

Thanks for the link. I'm surprised how they have escaped the clutches of law when they do these things openly in this country. Many of the other agencies have got closed for doing much less than these guys.

Likely, but not through this website under any circumstances, to avoid any defamation legal action against the immigrationboards.com or Workpermit.com.

This criminal Spam x has changed name to Spam xxxxxxx, and their business is absolutely illegal. They didn't pay tax for their contractors ,and owned 2million GBP to HMRC. Also they are doing criminal tier 1.

The directors of Spam x have taken advantage of the Tier 1 Entrepreneur scheme to embezzle £1.4m GBP from Chinese investors over the past three years. They took millions out of these three companies in order to line their own pockets and are now shutting down the companies. And told all Chinese that they have lost all their investment ,and threat them with visa. At the same time, they have started setting up new companies and are in the process of moving all money that they have stolen from tax evasion and investors into their business.

They have used the company accounts to buy luxury items such as jewellery, to buy new property, to pay for extensions on their houses and to fund their children’s private school education. They also use the money to lead lives of luxury and regularly travel outside of the country for expensive holidays.
