T2 (ICT) dependent to T2 General - but same employer

Hi All,
I am T2 ICT dependent and my current employer is ready to sponsor T2 general now to continue in the same role which is coming under Shortage Occupation Code list.
Could you please confirm the below:

1.) Can i continue working until the time i get my RCoS copy, then i will go back to my home country to apply for T2 General visa from there (online).

so that it will help to continue with my job till th time i get my CoS, then i can leave UK to go back my home country and apply T2 General from there and come back after getting it.
