Tier 2 dependent extension whilst waiting ILR

Post by samdav7 » Tue Dec 22, 2020 9:27 pm

Hi,

I need to apply for Tier 2 extension as dependent for my wife coming March. I have just submitted ILR and due for Biometric next month. My wife’s and my visa expires on this April 2020.
Should I show bank balance of £640 for the 90 days period?
Thanks!

The job is in shortage of occupation list and when we applied for her Tier 2 gen visa last year. I am not sure if there was maintenance of funds requirements back then!
Can anyone clarify on this please!
Thanks!

Merry Christmas everyone!
Hi all,
My wife’s Tier 2 dependent visa is valid till 1st week of April.
I am a healthcare worker and as per the one year free visa extension for healthcare workers and spouses, who are on visa from 17 October to 31 March, does my wife qualify for this free extension?
Please let me know!
Thanks!

Hi All,
I submitted my ILR application on 20/12/2020. I need to upload all the mandatory documents including my last payslip and bank statement matching the same payment paid/credited. I have uploaded the November 2020 and November bank statement to reflect this. Before I confirm the final uploading tick box, I want to know will this payslip and bank statement accepted, considering the date of application submission and payment was done on 20/12/2020; which is less than a month date from my last payslip? Or should I upload December’s payslip ans bank statement?
Please let me know.
Thanks!

Hi,
Please note: This query relates to both in PBS dependent Tier 2 dependent visa extension though now the status of main applicant has ILR. So not sure where to Post, so posting in both places. If not appropriate, my apologies in advance. Thanks! 🙏🏾

Hi,
Basically there are three main questions but in detailed points as below:
1. If a spouse is extending dependent visa (which is a Tier 2, as the main applicant was issued under Tier 2) and now the main applicant has received ILR status, what is the visa route for application? Is it as a Tier 2 dependent as the initial dependent visa was issued when main applicant was on Tier 2? Or is it ILR dependent as now the main applicant has ILR status?
2. Can anyone share the weblink to apply for this type of extension?
3. And how much will be the fee for extending this spouse visa to four years? The now slid dependent Tier 2 was issued for 1 year( matching the one year validity of main applicant back then when applied).
4. How much will be the fee for Immigration Health Surcharge for four years? The job is in the list of shortage occupation.
5. Is it possible to apply for Tier 2 dependent visa extension upto 3 years? Or only option is for extension more than 3 years?
Thanks very much 🙏🏾

1. Pbs dependent visa, provided you got r based on 5 years PBS route.

2. https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... nt-partner

3. It is a 3 year extension that dependents get if you hold ilr. https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/ ... h-it-costs

4. https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/ ... h-it-costs

5. It is only a 3 year visa that will be granted.

Hi,
Just checked the link you had sent in answer no.2.
It states " You should use this service if you are applying after the main applicant has already submitted their application or been granted leave in one of these categories.
Skilled Worker
Skilled Worker : Health and Care Visa
Global Talent
Start-up
Innovator
Student
Intra-Company Transfer
Intra-Company Graduate Trainee
Tier 1, 2, 4 or 5."

But ILR category is not mentioned in the above list.
What is the actual application weblink to apply as Tier2 dependent extension whose spouse is now granted ILR ?
Thanks!

You need to read the guidance notes for a skilled worker dependent visa

The application is asking for BRP number, should I provide my Tier 2 BRP number last issued? Or is it the ILR BRP number?

Hi,
Is it possible to know how much the maintenance of funds should be shown for dependant? This application is NOT made with the main application. Is it £980 or £640?
Thanks!

If the spouse has no surname, what should be written in the surname column? It is not allowing to proceed if left blank!
Thanks!

Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right forum, but tried best online to find this info. If one does not have surname at all and in any of the identity documents in passport etc, what should be mentioned in the surname column of visa application. Some suggested to mention '_' symbol, while other say type * or even write 'None'. But need correct information on this.
Also in UK provisional driving online application form, it is the same issue on surname column. And in these online application, mentioning surname is mandatory.
Any advise from anyone who had similar issues please?
Thanks! :|

HI,
Is the link given in Number 2 the same for a dependent Tier 2 applicant (on Tier 2 dependent) who is to extend this visa, whose spouse who was in Tier 2 is now granted ILR and the dependent is applying within UK to extend the Tier 2 dependent visa?? It is really confusing, as when submitted application and got through to IHS payment page, it prompted few information missing and is asking for work start and work end date (applying as someone's dependant). However, I am already in the UK, working for the same company and I have no end date to my work, it is permanent, ongoing basis as the near foreseeable future. It is really confusing. What date should I enter as my last date when I don't have a last date at all??
Please help!
Many thanks!
Sam Sol
